As far as I am concerned , I will say that water has got taste .But this taste is such that we can't tell it,it is out of description, actually what we do is that we take water itself as reference and compare others with it,IF we take other as refernce water will then definitely have taste.

Water does have a taste, and if you go somewhere where the piping is different and they treat the water differently, you'll notice. We had an exchange student from Germany once who really hated the taste of our tap water. She said it tasted like copper, but I couldn't taste anything special about it. Eventually, she got used to it. I've traveled to Odessa a few times and their tap water tastes really strange to me. It doesn't seem to have any minerals in it at all, and tastes pretty bland. Like, blander than regular water.

Ok ,that means you want to say that it is because of different piping, but actually there are so many factors which come in it to cahnge, different geographic regions actually change taste of water ,some even say that due to poluution water quality change, some say different compounds help change wter taste,so ultimately water taste change, isn't it?

yes but sometimes when I think deeply then I change my mind and say may be the water not always is tasteless.
my mother says that my grand mothers place's water is sweeter than ours.

water does have taste. I hate mine , its got some iron in it. I best and cheapest way to get clean water locally for me and my 5 year old son is to buy 2 gallon contain and fill it at store's machine for $15. Now I know that 2 gallons ain't going to last very long since we both love drinking water the most out of juice or soda. so I'll buy more containers. monthly. cool thing is refill in those 2 gallon containers. is only $2.00. Ever time we buy different brands of water bottles I notice they all taste different. So who ever says that water don't taste is very wrong. What matters is does the water you drink taste good and is it good for you and your family to drink?

Hello nar8988 me too aree with you, abuot the taste of water, without any refrence it not possible to depict the taste of water.Normally its difficult to describe directly whats the taste of water, but if given refrence than can water taste in sweet, salty and sour tastes, acocrding to its nature.Yeah many a time rural water is called to be sweet in taste than the urban one.In urban its mostly salty, and sour when its in some rough parts of the country.Anyways its an long theory on water and its tastes, Happy mylotting.

Many times, rural ground water is said to be more sweet than city ground level water and that may be due to pollution in urban areas.bUT IT is also true you can change taste of water if we do not take it as refernce, also as you have said urban areas water is really more salty and needs to be purified really.
