According to WebMD, Tylenol Arthritis Pain Caplet 100-count bottles with red EZ-Open caps were recalled in November, but now they are expanding the recall. See this:
http://www.webmd.com/news/20091229/tylenol-recall-expands
I take this medicine every once in awhile and for the past month I had felt nauseated and vomited every once in awhile. Tonight, I took two of these caplets before I went to Wal-Mart and I felt nauseated before I left, but it seemed to pass so I went on to the store. Well I felt weird in the store and ended up throwing up in the store (talk about embarrassing) When I came home, I told my ex-hubby to be about this and he knew I had had this problem off and on lately, but we both didn't know what caused it. It seemed that after I would vomit, I would feel better. He saw this information and told me about it and now I think that is what has been making me sick.
I hadn't even heard of the recall in November. I just wanted to let everyone know about this. Has anyone else had any problems?

Hey Char~ Are you taking the exact caplets that they are talking
about that have been recalled? And you are saying that you think
they are making you sick? The if they really are those
exact caplets, you can write to the company, get a refund and
let them know what happened to you! I have heard about the recall,
but don't purchase or take this medication! I would return
the caplets to the store for a refund or send them back to
the company with a letter or do whatever they tell you to do
on the website and don't take anymore of them!

Hi Opal,
Yes, I was taking the same exact caplets and they were making me sick. I called the toll free number that Tylenol had on the site today. I gave them the UPC code, expiration date and lot number and they verified that in fact they were part of the recall. They are sending me a coupon good for a free bottle.
And the rest of the caplets and bottle went in the garbage!!
Thanks for your response Opal. I have to admit that I'm not feeling real good today either. It should just go away.
Happy MyLotting!

Hey Char~ Quite honestly, I'm just very happy that my friend
is alright! Damn those Tylenol people! All they're doing is
sending you a free bottle of meds! I would have insisted
on money back! I wouldn't want to buy anymore of their product
for a very long time!!!

Nope, I didn't hear about it. We don't use Tylenol, we take Advil. Sorry to hear that you got sick. I hope you get better soon.

Acetaminophen the ingredient in Tylenol can be a problem in and of its own. My husband just got out of the hospital because of acetaminophen being prescribed as relief for a sore throat and the dosage was more than normal and caused liver failure. I'm very careful about the quantity or dosage of any medicine even when prescribed and watch carefully for side effects. Just because a medicine can be purchased over the counter does not necessarily make it a good medicine for you. Please, check the side effects of acetaminophen and you will be surprised. Thanks for the discussion.
