I like all kinds of music, from rock to hip hop to whatever sounds good, i like hip hop mostly cause of the beats, how many different sounds they can create with hip hop.
For people who don't agree, what is the reason for you not liking this type of music?

I found that in my formative years I just related more to the lyrics and messages in rock and alternative music than to anything I heard in hip hop and r&b. I didn't really aspire to be like the artists that I was hearing on those stations and instead turned to alternative as they seemed to capture the alienation and emotional turns I was going through. And I stuck with it becuase hey, it's my thing now.

Hi Amigone: I think exactly as you do according to your post. I have read the lyrics of my favorite bands and they are simply inspiring, they are not just the same love stories, you can see the poetry in these words, the magic, the spirit in these ideas. When I hear hip hop I don't feel the same, i am not connected to the sound., period. Thanks for your answer Amigone. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. Take Care.

Hi the rock star: in my case i have to say that i don't like hip hop but i am a very tolerant person and will not fight for a simple thing like that. I just don't like it because i think that the lyrics of hip hop look just all the same, talk about the same issues, use bad words and in some cases they are even chauvinist. But there are some exceptions, some songs that i like even if they are hip hop. I respect that other people like the genre as i have mentioned i have to tell but i don't like it. Thanks for asking us this question the rock star. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. Take Care.

I like most kinds of music, but hip hop and rap are two genres that really don't appeal to me. In my opinion, a lot of the tracks sound quite similar, and the usual lack of diction from the rappers means that the lyrics are obscured and hard to discern throughout the track.
I like music that I can relate to, and I find it very hard to find anything in hip hop or rap music that is really applicable to myself.
