I don't really think the movie itself is "special." I'm a fan of the twilight series, and I think the thing that makes the Twilight movie so popular is a combination of the fan-base from the books and the actors- Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are really attractive, lol. w

Although I did like the Twilight movie, the first that is since I don't like to spend the money to go to the movie theater, I don't see why people go nuts over it. I never get crazy about anything though. I will see the second film when it comes out to rent but that is as far as my enthusiasm goes. I have not read the books and I will not because I learned my lesson with Harry Potter... I read the books and now the movies I can't enjoy because I know what will happen.

I really love the books. You just seem to lose something in the interpertation between the books and the movies. You see it time and time again with such great authors as Danielle Stelle and Stephen King. If we were a society that read more than we would not see the great need to have our novels sliced and diced to pieces. I have actually met people who had no idea that the Twillight movies were actually books to start with. It is really a sad sad day when we stop using our imagination and quit reading. PICK UP A BOOK AND READ!!!!

I really don't get what all the fuss is over Twilight. I tried to watch the film, but turned it off about halfway through since it was so bad, and I've watched some truly terrible films. The acting is awful, the plot is flimsy at best, and the whole thing is just so cheesy and forced.
I would probably read the novel if I knew someone who had it, but I wouldn't spend money on it. I've heard though that the whole thing is a lot more bearable if you don't think of the Cullens as vampires, since they're well... not. Vampires don't sparkle.

Yeah, that's the problem with movies based on books...the story in books are always better than the movie. If you have read book "Twilight" maybe you would have appreciated the movie more. Happy mylotting.
