Does anyone do any online betting here?

I need to ask a question.
What is a healthy amount to bet online?
I like to go to casinos sometimes, but I usually only spend extra money. Like I'll go once a month and only spend $50 there because it's not much to me and I can afford to lose it.
I do the same thing online, too. I was recently reading reviews of different online betting places ( http://www.sportsbookie.com/ ) because I'm trying to find a good, safe place to bet online so I don't have to go to casinos anymore to get my betting fix.
My gf doesn't want me to do it, though. She says it's going to turn into a bad habit. She doesn't understand that I've been betting for years and never spending money that I don't have, it's always just the $50 extra each month. It's not like I'm living paycheck to paycheck or anything.
So, is $50 a month excessive for a little betting for fun?
Please give me your opinion. Thanks!

I only bet on centsports website it's a free site where you get 10 cent to bet on sporting events. If you are a good enough bettor you can reach payout which is $20 but you must bet over 50 cent a bet to request payout. I have reach payout twice only to lose it all. My highest amount was $39.99. Gambling is okay if you can handle it. They even advestise online betting sites and they also has a poker site which I am a member of but never play at the site. There are other free online betting sites that claim to be free but centsports is by far the best free sports betting site.

I used to bet online too, but the site was not free. I had to invest my own money here. I managed to get my money doubled, but then I lost it all, just like you.

I played at Pokerstars and won $500. Was a bit scared I wasn't going to get my cash, but I did; however they wait until the last minute to put it in my account.

I think that betting is okay until you spend reasonable amounts of money and don't get too involved into it. I can't say that 50 bucks would be perfect amount for me, because I don't go to work yet, so my income is quite limited. I think it's okay to spend amount of money that will not seriously affect your life and coping with your taxes and bills.
