Please tell us what is the species of that fish. Fishes got those dietary habits that differs from specie to specie. To be safe, separate him from other fishes so that if he's got this contagious disease, he will not infect others too.

If you let us know what kind of fish it is, how large a tank that it is in and what kinds of food that you are feeding plus your tank maintenance we might be able to answer your question. You don't call up your doctor and say I hurt my arm and what should I do. The doctor will need to find out more before he/she can figure out what is wrong and help to cure it (if it is curable).Pets are o different in that regard, to fix them, you need to know what is wrong and that some questions need t be answered about how the animal is living, his/her care etc.

Fish are funny creatures. This kind of depends on a lot like what food you are feeding it, what kind of fish it is. If you are over feeding it than your tank might be or get to dirty. Fish go through growth spurts just like people. Sometimes they eat more or less. You only want to feed them how much they will eat, a little at a time.
