I saw so many cute ideas for my son's 1st birthday party. He was born on valetines day. I have decided to go with a monkey theme because since he's not old enough to decide, he really is a monkey. he climbs on everything! I was looking for some ideas. From decorations to what to serve. I thought of monkey bread and banana bread so far... and of course some fresh bananas. Anyone ever done a monkey theme?

Hello, how are you doing? Of course we'll let you know. Well I don't have children but I am around children since I have cousin and nephews all over. Well, I always like going to the party section. Check it out at any store, you could try Walmart or Target really.
As for food, I love banana cream pie. Perhaps that could be the birthday cake? , or I've seen where they do a banana cake out of regular yellow or sponge cake and it was really good.

Try Frozen bananas! They tast just like ice cream... Super good :D
You can also rent tarzan movies for the kids to watch....i mean monkeys and apes are pretty close right?
Maybe a face paint station where all the guests can be tansformed into monkeys.
THose banana candies are really yummy too. Oh! maybe you can make banana shape rice cripsy squares..that'll be kind of cool.
For decoration probably the jungle theme...you know stick to green, tan and yellows with some jungle flowers and birds.

No, I had never done a monkey theme or similar. Because my daughter is a girl, a monkey might not suitable for her gender. I did a birthday for her before, but I didn't arrange the whole party though. I just paid for whatever my sister and my mom seems to be good for her. We simply have our family members together that was all.
