Has anyone else had to take isoniazid for tuberbulosis? I have the latent form. I started taking it around 4 months ago. I can't stand it. Not the meds itself, but the restrictions while taking it. The no alcohol is not an issue. But my chocolate, caffeine, poultry, etc. AHHHHHH!!!! Did anyone have any issues with their liver or their eyesight? I know this med can severely affect both. I wish I didn't have to take it, but I have a 1 in 10 chance of it becoming active if I didn't. I won't risk my childrens health on those chances!
I would love to hear form anyone that has had TB or the inactive version and has had to take these meds.

Hi menolly22. No, I haven't taken any medications for tubecolusis. (Although I am taking some antibiotics now, because I tonsils are swollen).
Just wanted to drop in this discussion, to say hello and to hope that you're alright. Too bad that you can't take any chocolate, caffeine, and poultry. Specially this holiday season. Your Christmas must have been awful.
Hope you feel better.

Thank you! I hope you feel better after your tonsil swelling goes down. That can't be fun. The holidays were interesting. Especially Thanksgiving as I was not allowed to eat the turkey. I've had nothing but ham and beef. Gets kind of old if you know what I mean!
