There are people just love coffee or tea so much, it won't even affect them having a good night sleep! First of all, is it healthy? Since the caffeine meant to "wake" you up? To fall asleep meaning one has getting too much of it? But I also meant some people who couldn't fall asleep despite how many coffee or tea they had before bed~! They are coffee or tea lover, but it will made them stay up whole night~!!
how does it affect you? All the coffee and tea drinker...

I drink caffeine from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. Lucky for me, when Im tired, Im tired and I sleep. It does not seem to affect me at all. I do have ADHD and have heard that can cause caffeine to have a sort of reverse effect. Im not sure, but for me I cant go without caffeine!

Well, i don't put any cream nor sugar in my coffee if i want to stay up. The stronger the coffee the less chance i might fall asleep.
I only do this if i really need an all-nighter project or something. Caffeine helps me stay up and keep me from cathcing Z's.

Hey px_yeap I have no problem sleeping after dringking coffee. Most people say they cant. But I am working fulltime so I am a person that are tired after a long day, so if I have a cup of coffee it do not matter to me. Coffee is what I drink a lot of, most in the mornings but yes, even durin the rest of the day.

Caffeine has never kept me awake. Strangely, I could easily fall asleep right after drinking a cup of coffee!
I do not drink much coffee now, maybe a cup or two a year, but I used to drink coffee to wake me up when I worked as a proofreader because it was hard staying alert when you sit for hours at work. But, I'd get so sleepy after drinking a cup of coffee that I had to stop drinking it. I switched to water which helped give me an energy boost, as weird as that sounds.
I do drink Coca Cola in the morning to help wake me up and it does help. I don't quite understand it, though, because if I'm sleepy to begin with, I can drink Coke and go right to sleep.
I suppose, what it boils down to is, that caffeine doesn't affect me, not really. I think the coldness of the cola in the morning is what helps to wake me up, not the caffeine in it. I'll sometimes drink a cup of hot tea at night to help me sleep!

I used to drink up to 8 cups of black coffee everyday and still get very sleepy. It doesn't matter what time of the day. I was addicted to coffee, I used to feel restless without a cup, especially when I started to try to withdraw from it. Too much of anything is bad. Not even when they say coffee has anti-oxidants. Now, I am down to a maximum of three cups a day. =)

I dont drink coffee or tea at all. I drink like lipton iced tea but I dont really think that contains much if any caffeine that would affect my sleep pattern. I used to drink cappucino and I loved the kind you get at gas stations it takes more like a hot cocoa then coffee. It so good but it made me very jittery. I got in a bad habit of drinking caffeinated soda all the time after my son was born. I was just so tired and it helped a little to keep me awake. It didnt keep me from sleeping at night just because I was so exhausted. At first it would make me jittery but I got past that. I started to have to drink more and more though to get the effect that I needed. It was making me fat and I didnt want that so I quit drinking it. I realized that the entire time I hadent been taking vitamins and now that I have quit drinking soda and started taking vitamins again I feel so much better.

I'm constantly drinking tea and it has never affected my sleeping schedule.
And sometimes I'll drink coffee constantly in order to stay awake and I won't stay awake and I'll still go to bed.
I think people react differently to it and of course it all is going to depend on the brands and how strong you make things as well.

I do drink tea more than coffee. I prefer tea because I tried coffee and just didn't like it. I heard that tea has far less caffeine in it than Coffee. So when I drink it before I go to bed. I don't feel any need to wake up after that.

I drink both coffee and tea and use them to wake me up especially after a good sleep. It is useful to give a jump start to your day in the morning and also for your morning routine. A mid-day tea of coffee helps me to get energized for the rest of the day. An evening tea helps me unwind and relax after a hectic day at the office.
I am unable to get good sleep if I drink tea or coffee before going to sleep. I think it has to do with the stimulating properties of these beverages. The stimulants make you stay awake and have the ability to kill sleep for some time after you consume tea or coffee. However, I have come across people who use tea to go to sleep. They have a cup of tea a few minutes prior to their bed time and it works well for them - in a few minutes they are deep in slumber!
It may be how you condition your mind to tea and coffee. If you have been used to drinking them to wake you up then they will act as stimulants and if you have been using them to act as sleep inducers they will always do just that.

I only drink coffee during the day because it gives me an energy boost. If I tried drinking it at night, it would probably keep me awake. As for tea, I can drink it all day and late at night and still go to sleep. It doesn't affect me as much as coffee does. :)

I love coffee. I do drink tea on some occasions but I really do not crave for it. I am more of a coffee lover. I consume around 4-6 cups of coffee a day. It usually starts my day and ends my day. I feel active drinking coffee, but when I am about to sleep, I still drink coffee and do not seem to have any problem sleeping.

Coffee would definitely keep me awake and is effective when i want to do so, but tea fills me up from head to toe with warmth and makes me sleepy. Both are delicious beverages.

This is really strange and I don't have any scientific evidence to prove what I'm saying but, I think that drinking tea helps me to sleep! I'm so used to it and I drink many cups throughout the day. Before I retire for the night I always make sure that I have a final cuppa! This shouldn't be the case though as caffiene normally keeps you awake if taken in huge quantities. I don't like coffee as I find it too strong! Anyway, it's New Year's Eve and I will be drinking lots of tea today in front of the telly, not forgetting My Lot, I will be on here throughout the day! Happy New year. Andrew

I can drink a cup of coffee right before going to bed. It relaxes me. I like hot tea too but not as much as coffee. I normally drink about 6 cups each day. I am addicted to coffee. Lately, I have been getting the specialty coffee beans at World Market.
