Do you read the return policy?

Hi, anotherxidentity. Yes, I do tend to look at the return policy terms on the back of the receipt. I had a mix up that happened to me twice. One was about some makeup that I bought. I opened it and I never used it. I came to the store for a complete refund, but the manager said that I could only get an exchange off of the product being that I had opened it. I can understand why she did this. And the second episode happened when I was trying to return a pair of slippers. I could not and the manager looked at the shoes and she could have tell that they were already worn. Well, I did not know this. I did not bother to look at the back of the shoes before bringing them into the store. I had the receipt and all. But, it did not matter, the manager could not grant me a full refund or an exchange because of the condition that the slippers were in. Now from these experiences, I have made a point to check the return policy on the back or front of my receipts.
