How would you rate the new Windows 7 Operating System?

I'm running my 7 in acer 2920. If we compare it with windows vista, absoltely 7 is completely overwhelming it. Since I'm more on the game, I make my point of viw from compatibility with game. If compared with windows xp, I cant say. Windows 7 need more Ram than XP to run same game, and it need at least twice than XP need. So, if you want to uprade your XP to 7, then you need install new RAM to compare your last XP performance. I rate 5/10.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate in my old machine with Pentium 4 2.88 Ghz processor, 512MB RAM(2 x 256), 64MB onboard ATi Radeon Xpress 200 graphics and an 80 GB SATA. I had a very nice opinion about Windows 7 since i had used all windows versions from Windows 95. It is true that Windows 7 requires more RAM( = 2 GB ) than XP to run high-end games on it, but you had to consider the time difference between XP and Windows 7. When Windows XP was released in late 2001, computers at that time Ran on 128MB and 256MB memory with Windows 2000. Windows XP requirement was 256MB RAM, where Windows 2000 Ran on 64MB of RAM. So, its quite natural resource requirements will grow eventually when time progresses. New generation games are demanding a minimum of 1GB RAM now a days, remember in older days of XP it was 256MB! Time is moving, now lets change and move from older requirements.
And, if you are about getting more memory, running Windows 2000 would be better :)
I rate Windows 7 8/10 for its performance and engineering excellence. I reduce 2 marks for not fixing minor Explorer bugs, and not improving Windows Internet Explorer from its stone age.
