I personally am setting reasonable goals in my earnings requirements starting the first of the year. Honestly, I have not attained my goals set for 2009. While disappointed, I do feel that my time has not been wasted. It has just been a lot longer learning curve than I expected. I do believe that this will be the year that it all comes together. I hesitate to actually have resolutions since they seem to be broke so easy. So instead, here are a few of my goals and plans for 2010.
- It may take me a little more time, however, I will strive to break down my tasks in smaller time frames. I believe that if I set my goal for a year, then break it down to months, weeks, days, and even hours for each task I will see where my time goes.
- Treat my online activities like it was a job - keep track of hours on each task and be accountable to someone else for my time. I am guilty of losing track easily when researching subjects, writing articles, or completing most tasks. I will focus more on the task at hand and instead of going off in tangents I will keep a list of interesting sites or subjects to research later when I have some down time.
- My top priority for next year is to help others as others have helped me this year. I have many resources and knowledge to share and hope to promote more of a team approach to affiliate marketing. Everyone has skills and knowledge and to be able to share with others would go a long way toward everyone having better earnings and results from our efforts.

I know exactly how you feel. One retirement fund I have is a guaranteed fund which is the only one that I did not lose money in. All those years of minimum earnings actually paid off in that one.
A new year somehow gives us the hope and the chance for a better time. This is a great time to get something going.
I am glad you are researching new options - I have found that my procrastination tendencies usually pay off in the long term for me. There is always the point in time that research needs to stop and action needs to be taken.
I wish you a better year ahead.

I'm hoping that I can make more this year. More than last year. I started off well last year, but somehow got distracted and lost motivation throughout the rest of the year..Which put me in a slump. The only consistent site that I've been getting paid from, thus, is MyLot. I haven't really had motivation to be active anywhere else. I went a little survey crazy and now I'm burned out from it (and I've felt this way for about 6 months). Ugh. But I'm hoping that motivation will come back to me sometime soon and I'll be able to kick it in high gear once more!

Excellent goal - but I hope that you are writing down exact numbers so that you are able to track your progress. Sometimes we do not like to document things so we have little accountability. Even go so far as to confide your earnings goal to a trusted friend or family member. While most can be negative, if you find the gem that will be supportive, I believe you will make your goal.
FOCUS - I struggle with this everyday but know that if I am to succeed that I have to have a plan and stick to it.
Here is to you getting your motivation back and kickin' it.

I definitely have to make more money online. I just don't know what exactly to do to reach my goals. I would love to make around $200/month online if it's possible.

How you can make your goal of $200/month is really up to you and you alone. What I mean by this is that you will need to first evaluate your interests, your skill sets, and your market. If you take what you are interested in - say sports - then either write articles, create audio, or produce a video - and find places to tell people about them - there is no reason to think you will not make your goal. Never consider it a failure though if you do not make your goal. Evaluate and determine why you are having those results, and focus on improving those areas.
Wishing you success.

My resolution for making more money this year is to write more on the internet on all of my writing sites so that I can earn some higher residual income. That is really my biggest thing when it comes to money. This past few months has been really busy and I have not had the time to write like I would to. This year I hope to do a lot better.

What a great resolution to make. I have the exact same problem and have set my goals to do better this year as well. I know the system works - I research and write the articles - submit them to quality article directories - watch the traffic flow and the backlinks grow. Ahh, if it were just a little bit easier.
Wishing you a great writing year.

I believe that 2009 was a pretty rugged year for most - even the Bill Gates and Warren Buffets of the world had a tough time of it. You have the right idea of having different income sources so that you will be more prepared to weather the storm. The only note of caution I would suggest is to not spread out too thin. As long as you can keep your focus you will succeed.
Wishing you success.

Sounds like you have the right idea not setting yourself up fail is a great goal and in its self is a great resolution. My views are very much on the same lines as yourself, I guess learning to keep on keeping on will pay off. Life is to be lived for today as we look into our goals and make them happen. Positive outlook is another great resolution too. I have decided to make the most of each day and at the end of each day weigh out my successes and setbacks with more value leaning toward the successes. Helping others is also a wonderful resolution to make and follow through with I enjoy helping others any chance I get, gives you a warm feeling. So Happy New Year to you and hope your year turns out like you plan it will, to the year 2010 and all the joy and happiness it will bring.
Cheers :)

We all struggle with just being motivated to earn and succeed. I am glad to see you have a strong and positive outlook, for I really believe that is what determines if we are successful or not. Also the ability to learn from our mistakes and "roll with the punches". I have also found that having more that one source of income has paid off greatly this last year. For example, while I did lose on some investments and earnings, others I had helped smooth out the year.
I am thrilled that you are interested in helping others also and agree that it gives me a warm feeling as well.
Happy New Year and much success for you this year!

It is great that you are positive about doing better in 2010. If we learn to change our plans and are flexible in our plans and goals based on the reality of economics, we will succeed! This could be one of the best years ever for the finance market, but I would caution you to be patient and cautious in your activities, and understand how important research is.
I know this is old school but the information in this book will help you on your journey into finance - it is The Beardstown Ladies Common Sense Investment Guide - About a group of elderly women that formed an investment club and did quite well based on solid investment guidelines. I still use the methods today whenever making stock purchase or selling choices and it has done me quite well. The book is available on Amazon or many other sites for as little as 99 cents.
Have a great and profitable New Year!

I do have alot of expectations for 2010 on my online earnings. I have only gotten a hang of it this month and would like to consider in earning more for this coming 2010. It is an additional earning for me and would like to go on with it just so I have an emergency money kept. I would like to be very consistent in my online earning since I would like to improve on sticking to my goals that I have set before me for this coming 2010.

It is always a great idea to keep you expectations realistic. I think many fail because they set a goal of making $10k per month and that is not going to happen the first month, not even the first year possibly. Having emergency funds will allow you to experiment with different methods of earning money online. It is kind of funny that we have to set a resolution to keep our resolutions, but that is a reality sometimes.
Hoping you have an excellent 2010!

Before I can dive into making a lot of extra money, or any money for that matter, I need to see where I can shave my spending. I have to make the most out of the money I recieve, because to be quite honest if I can do that, it will help greatly. My saving grace this month, (or the fallowing) may be a rebate from the eletric compny. *crosses fingers* at this point, I'll take anything I can get.

You have made an excellent point - Making money can be as simple as spending less! All of us have spent money this last year that we wished we could get back I am sure. Our best bet is not worry about what we did, but to learn from our actions and make decisions that will allow us to do better in the new year.

My new year's resolution in terms of earning money online is to add up more articles in my residual earning site. (Bukisa)
My goal is to double or even triple my 2009 earnings. It's hard but it's possible. I'd set up short-term, monthly goals in order to achieve it.
My battle cry "800 USD in 2010" LOL

2009 has also been a not good year for me in terms of earning money online. The reason being that, am not conversant with genuine paying sites so,i fell for some scams. I've done my homework well and i believe its time to launch out come 2010 earning good income online. First, i'll like to earn through my blog. Yes, blogging is one area i would love to earn have familiarising myself to things needed to earn big via blogging. Another area i'll take serious attention is HYIPs. I've finally discovered some genuine ones and lastly taking surveys.
