hi everyone!
been awhile since i went out on all night open bar parties to welcome the new year. it seemed not too long ago the right question to ask was "what wasn't i drinking to welcome the new year?". lol!
things have changed a couple of year's ago. now, new year's eve is spent having dinner with my daughter, my wife, and the in-laws. i won't be drinking as much either as i don't want to have a hangover to start 2010. i'll probably have a couple bottles of beer during dinner and cap the night off with a couple of glasses of rhum cola while watching the fireworks display with my daughter at my in-law's roof deck. it offers a nice view of the city below and the fireworks display as there are at least three to four establishments that have different fireworks show before, during, and after the new year.
so what else is everyone drinking this new year?
cheers!!!

LOL I definitely hate having a hangover on the first day of the new year, too. It's a bad omen, is what I'm always telling people. Maybe that's why 2009 for me was pretty rotten..Because the very first day of the year, I had a horrendous, splitting headache and nausea from the night before. . This year (well, tonight) is going to be very low-key for me. I'm just hanging out with one friend, who isn't too big of a drinker at all. I'll probably have a couple Peppermint Schnapps+Hot Chocolate drinks, but that's about it as far as I'm concerned. It's not going to be a crazy night for me!

well, if you are dirnking vodka, make it grey goose. the price is a bit steep for me but definitley worth it because of its smooth flavor.

I'm going to be drinking rum and cokes too. My all time favorite. I'm just sitting around at home with a few friends and family this year, no big party or anything. I like doing big bash stuff for New Years but I'm just feeling really lazy this year.

hi mrniceguy!
my exact sentiments. nothing fancy and big this year, just a simple celebration with my loved ones and family and of course with my poison of choice... rhum cola.
cheers!!!

San Mig light for me.. its the only thing i can find nearby. I'm actually in a coffeeshop right now. welcoming 2010 in a coffeeshop huh.. dont' have work but i didn't go home. decided to try and celebrate it alone. and it's super sad but hey.. i gotta smile. it's 2010 and am still alive as well as my family.
toast every one..

hi marker!
i didn't know they serve san mig light in coffee shops nowadays. must be the reason why there are a lot of people lining up to get their coffee, albeit overpriced ones. not only do they get their caffeine fix, they get hungover as well if they take enough cups. lol!!!
not a big fan of coffee shops, i think these are overrated and the people who troop to these establishments are mere cash cows who want to look cool because they are sporting a cup of (let me repeat it again) overpriced coffee. sorry for what seemed like a rant. not judging the big coffee fans out there but let me enjoy a hot cup of milk, thank you very much.
wishing you a better 2010!
