Do you really want to be rich?

I would love to be rich, right now I'm so far in debt and barely making ends meet that I could use the money desperately for bills and what not. Sure, there are some items I'd love to have but first and foremost I'd pay my rent, utility bills and debt off if I were rich. I run two blogs and own a graphics website with my best friend which provides myspace layouts, graphics, etc. We haven't hit it big yet but we're working really hard at it and hope someday in the near future we'll make some great money and be able to live off of it. I looked up stats and most of the sites like ours make between $70,000 and $90,000 a month, their huge hits, especially with Twitter around now and people wanting back rounds for that, people like cell phone wallpaper too and much more. I think some people don't try hard enough to improve things in their life as far as financial security goes but it takes time, nothing is instant. It's only my friend and I running the website, coding it, taking care of the material, etc, we can't afford to hire people, we're not making enough for us to live on or be happy about yet so it would be really hard to pay people.

i won't say the i want to be rich friend rather i want to buy what all i like to keep it in my home.i want to live a peaceful life with my dear one.if we think to become rich our thoughts will be in how to make money and we will spend most of the time in making money and we wont be having time to spend time with our dear ones, we cant take care of any one in home.so for me i don't want to be rich,i want to be happy with my family :) wish you a happy new year :)

I'm older and my husband & I are financially comfortable so I don't want any more than what we have. His brother though is very rich and he got there the hard way...by working hard and taking risks. He's always owned his own companies...started small and took advantage of every opportunity that presented itself. Even in this economy he is making money but there are strings attached to being a wealthy business man. He has too many obligations as far as I'm concerned. He and his wife are busy all of the time and I couldn't push myself as hard as they do. I'd rather live my little life.

I think most of people want to be rich.If you are rich,you needn't fear the money,you can afford to what you want to buy.However,It is just a thinking.Not everyone can make it come true.As you said that Most of people do nothing about it,it is a day dreaming.So i think the best way of being a rich person is working hard.

Now the definition for rich is different for many people. I want to be well off. I want to earn myself - not including a spouse's income - at least 75,000-100,000 a year. That is my minimum, of course I want to earn more than that. And I don't agree that many people don't want to be rich. If rich is earning a lot of money compared to minimum wage then 100k is a ton of money and I think most people see that is a goal wage if not higher.

yup, i wanted to be rich...rich with love from my girlfriend! money wise, yes i do wish to get more money, but i only wish to earn enough so that i won't have to worry if i have enough bread for tomorrow. many people i know fear to lose job because of their mortgages, if they are out from work, the mortgages going to pile up~! getting out of those situations are the one of the financial freedoms that many people are seeking.

no, i dont think i would want to be filthy rich but i would like to be comfortable and not have to worry about paying off bills. i am happy with the things i have the only extra thing i would like to do is maybe take a trip (i have never been on an airplane!)

happy new year, no I would not like to be rich, I do not think you are happier if you were rich. I do wish though you had a little extra to keep for older days so you did not have to worrie about how to survive the day. I like to have enough to save for my pension. But I like to save for something extra I like to have. But again, I have others values so I am no longer a materialist, I just get what I do need and are practical to me, not just becouse I want it. I do not longer buy stuf for use in the future, I only get what I really need. It feels good to know that you actually saved some in order to get what you dream about.

i always wanted to be as rich as those millionaires or multi-millionaires or even billionaires. but i always think that if i become one, my family will surely enjoy the sacrifices i made. everything i do will always be for them. becoming rich (i assumed that we are talking about money here) comes with an attitude. you can always dream but without hard and smart work, persistence and every positive habits needed to become succesful, you will always end up day dreaming. happy new year magic9

Very, very rich! I want to have so much money that I don't know what to do with it! I think it would be nice to be rich especially when you come from a background of having very little. It's nice to dream about having nice things. I once saw a film called 'Splash' starring Tom Hanks and John Candy! Well, I remember John saying in the film and I quote "Think big, be big my friend!" I love that quote and I think it really rings true. You have to want to achieve in life and if you think big then there's a chance that you may do better in life, there's no guarantee but it's a chance! I agree on what you said magic9. All people want to be rich but the problem with them is they do not give much effort to be rich. How can you be rich if you are just sitting there, why don't you stand up and give you best shot everyday. Well, if all people will be industrious at all time and all cause. I guess there is no reason for them to fail their dream to be rich.

More money more problems, I just wanna be comfortable, God can handle the rest.

Well ive allways wanted to be richbecause I could have what I want. If I was ever rich I would share my wealth with my friends family and charitys so i dont get hated like other rich people. I don think its a bad thing to be rich but people can amke bad mistakes like keeping all there money to them selvs and acting like they dont need anyone for help.

To be rich? Most people would do... monetary-wise, probably because of the things that could be at your disposal when you have more than enough along with the influence and respect amongst those who look up on people who have much more than they have.

Hello magic9 me too think that am already an rich guy to enjoy such an good life, but yes do need some extra money to ease out some pro.Well in todays world of competition and ever increasign demands, we gota have some good going in our income to overcome any monetary pro with what we have as avail to us.Simply wana earn enough so that am not facing any more pro or have to sacrifice anything just because of lack of money and neither want any of my family members to ever suffer such an thing.It will just keep everybody happy and peacefully, there won't be any anger, war, fear, etc stuffs.Me too just wana improve a little in my life to attain the richness of the life.Anyways keep you money safe always, Happy mylotting.

Really it is a beautiful question. Everyone must have money to live for their life. But to become rich, it not a easy to become a rich in anyones life. We must have money to the max extend to survey in the life. Beyond this will lead to unnecessary problem and headache. Do you mean to say that every rich people are happy in their life,no it not. First of all to have safe secure for money is a must. For that we need a bank and if not other source of blocking the money. To be a rich man we need to pay account to the govt for all the earnings and pay tax etc. To be a rich man, it just like a man with cough. A man suffering with a cough cannot sleep in the night. just like that a rich man will not find sleep in the night.

um...actually i want to be rich,because i need the money.i need money to do lots of things,not just raise my family but also with something about my dream.so anyway,when i graduate from universe,i will try best to improve my ability and earn more money.

Money doesn't buy happiness. That's the problem. We often association being rich with owning things that make us happy. If money doesn't make us happy, it's a pretty good bet that things don't either. Then why are we all in search of things? The newest, the most expensive, the nicest? People are convinced that a $30,000 car, a big new home, designer clothes and expensive toys all make their lives better. They've been told that if they don't have the money for those things, they can simply borrow it.

for me, i don't think i'd really wanna be rich, i'd spend it all and be broke again in no time, as long as i got money to pay my bills, and have a couple thousand in the bank for spending money, i'd be very quite content and happy. of course the thought of millions in my account would be a delight, but what am i doing to do with all that money when i pretty much have everything i want or need?

I want to be rich! But still I know that when I become rich some changes will occur and it can be a good or, most of the time, a bad thing for me. It's an instinct to strive to live better lives and yeah being rich feels good but there is a big difference in feeling good and being happy.
