A lot of fast food joints have put so-called "healthy" foods on their menus.Does anyone actually eat at a fast food place thinking they're eating healthy?Even the salads are bad for you.Do you ever eat at a fast food restaurant and think you're doing something good for yourself?

Well, the salads they have in the fast food restaurants such as McDonald's and Wendy's are healthy for you but the high-fat content of the dressing isn't healthy for you. I haven't eaten at a fast food burger restaurant for a long time but I do occasionally eat at Subway because it's a much healthier alternative to the burgers.

I agree with you on that, even salad on fast food aren't healthy because of the dressing that usually are fattening and the cheese..ohhh!!! lolz Fast food usually serves items that are high in fat and calories. You can't even count the number of calories you are taking from fastfoods because it was not labeled for one or the calories of a certain item was not specified. So basically you don't know how much calories you are consuming. Quite tricky.

I only visit fast food restaurants on special occasions or when I want to reward myself. So I go there to eat unhealthy food. I guess some people visit them every single day. When I was growing up my parents only let us go to fast food restaurants around Christmas. I only had it like twice a year. To me fast food is a waste of money. The last time I went to Burger King it cost me 6 dollars for a whopper and a large onion rings. Imagine how much money people would save each day if they just brought their own sack lunch to work. Americans need to change their culture because we are growing too obese on these ultra fattening fast food diets. It puts a strain on our overall health and the cost of health care. I think it would be good for parents to teach their children the importants of eating healthier foods. Not all healthy food taste bad. Instead of a chocolate bar for a snack you could eat grapes or raisins. It's unfortunate that a lot of the healthier food cost more than a bag of doritos. Still I think more people would pay extra for a bag of doritos.

Its healthier - but its still not healthy.
And I think that is where the mistake is made.
If you're going to eat fast food then of course it's probably better to eat something that is healthier but even things like salad have more calories in them mostly because of additives like the chicken, etc. or the salad dressing.
Now if you can go without one of those then great.
Plus I think its best that all restaurants have calories listed for people so therefore they can make the smartest decision.
