GetIt This is an HTTP and FTP download tool. It is designed to adapt itself to network connections from DDN to DUN. It will automatically adjust the buffer size according to available bandwidth. Especially with high-speed connections, it can make the most use of the bandwidth with low CPU and system resource usage. The new version adds proxy and cookie support and fixes a bug that caused some file downloads to fail. - I got this info from the Net. I had downloaded it earlier but I do not need it now. Try and see if it will help you.

I think IDM is one of the most popular download manager which used widely nowadays. But i also has one other such software which i think it also a good software. It is GigaGet. You can give it a try. It's a free software. The file size also friendly and the performance also very good. I like it since it's simple and has friendly interface. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I use IDM for downloading too. It's very useful especially if you're usually downloading a 100mb file. You can also limit the speed of your download so you can still surf while you're downloading.
