Do you like the way of the education when you are in school?

Hi,my friends.i come from china,when i was in middle school i have to study from the early moning to the deep night.because i have to pass the entrance exams for good high school then i could save a large amount of money,then when i got into the high school,i still have to study from the early moning to the late night then i could get into the universe which will decide my future.
everyday we would get countless papers and we have to finish them one by one when we finally totally complete them then another piles of papers are waithing for us.
i hate kind of this education very much,we really study very hard but almost everyday we study the same thing,the same points and all we think about is the exams and don't care about the pratical application.we study english,then we get tons of practice items just for the english grammar,don't care about the oral english and listening skills at all because the exams haven't that kind of request.
what do you think about kind of this educathion,and do you like the way of the education you got in high school??

Fortunately, the education that I had in my country is quite easier compared to what you have described. Here, we have to study because of the same reasons of getting something better in life for our future. Studying late at night does happen but, not every night. We usually do that when exams are approaching. None the less, we study at our own pace most of the time.
Another thing is that English happens to be also a medium of instruction here so, not only do we get to study grammar and vocabulary, I do have short comings with the former, we get to practice them which is a good thing. Then again, even if there are those who aren't educated in formal education, others can still speak english, well not fluently but tolerable, due to variety of media that we have here which are also in english most of the time.
Then, we also have to consider each student's capacity in learning. Some are just smart and wouldn't have a hard time understanding lessons. There are those who just need time to fully comprehend lessons.

Hi ratyz,thanks for your response.
i admire the education that you had.actually,the education i want most is schools and teachers can offer students the opportunity to study by themselves.but always my teachers has just been too care about his own esteem,and didn't believe we were the genius.maybe that's just the reason why only few ones can get very high achievement in this country.our creativity has just been stifled in the cradle.

yeah,the thoughts of our teachers are too conservative.i just hope current students
who graduated from teacher's schools can do some changment.
