Additional problem, I am using avast anti-virus software which makes it more slower speed because of warnings, pop-ups of malware and expiration date. Is it ok to download free anti-malware software or software that will make your downloading more faster offered to you through an email. Thanks.

If your antivirus expired, it has stopped updating and you may have some virus that slows you down. Go to avast site and get the free home licence (it only requires your email and is good for 1 year). Or if too lazy download another trial version, and uninstall your current one. It should give you 30-60 days trial. Many antimalware software stays resident in memory, and instead of protecting you, slow down your pc. Use one to scan every few days, but do not let it start up with windows. Unlike protection for virus, anti (malware/spyware/adware) protection usually does not prevent infiltration except to very small amounts. Some do imunize system, meaning close security holes, and that preven many problems to enter, but still is not required to keep them open like antivirus. And you can get a security suite, wich fights both virus and malware. Even Avast has one, but is currently beta. I can't wait for that one to turn final, cuz it promises a lot: firewall, antivirus, antispyware and way more. I think it will be the most complete protection cuz most security suites today either only give antivir+antispayware, or antivir + very limited firewall.

Hi robertx, I went to avast.com and followed your advise to get free home license. Now I have a license good for one year. No more pop-ups. Thank you.

Of course, because avast consume a lot memory, your laptop, entered viruses and malware. virus/malware on your computer, nestled in the system memory. Which would fill the memory, so the OS to be slow.

So what will I do to remove those viruses/malwares. Any software that will remove them and at the same make my browser faster as if it is new. Thank you for responding and Happy New Year.

I think there's some cause for your case. But usually if the problem is only when downloading a webpage, i think the main problem is on your internet connection. But if your antivirus is set to automatic updating, then i think you can try to disabling that option, or perhaps just try to exiting your antivirus software first before you try your internet speed. If the problem persist, then i think the problem is on your internet service provider. But if with the same connection line, it's good on other's computer or laptop, then you can try to reformatting your laptop and then reinstalling it again. However, if your laptop is not a new, perhaps you have so many unused registry keys in your operating system registry, and it can slowing your computer system performance. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

My antivirus is set in automatic updating, after the updates a pop-up warning said that my antivirus is expired and needs for renewal. You are right my laptop is already 4 years old and maybe needs reformatting. Thank you and Happy New Year!
