Hello,I am Mrs Linda Susan, I am a US citizen, 48 years Old. I reside herein New Braunfels Texas. I am one of those that took part in the Compensationin Nigeria many years ago and they refused to pay me, I had paid over$20,000 while in the US, trying to get my payment all to no avail. So I decided to travel down to Nigeria with all my compensation documents,And I was directed to meet Mr. Williams Gary, who is the member of COMPENSATION AWARD COMMITTEE, and I contacted him and he explainedeverything to me. He said whoever is contacting us through emails arefake. He took me to the paying bank for the claim of my Compensation payment. Right now I am the most happiest woman on earth because I have receivedmy compensation funds of $3,700,000.00 Moreover, Mr.William Gary, showedme the full information of those that are yet to receive their paymentsand I saw your name as one of the beneficiaries, and your email address, that is why I decided to email you to stop dealing with those people, theyare not with your fund, they are only making money out of you. I willadvise you to contact Mr. Williams Gary You have to contact him directly on this information below. JOAKIN COMPENSATION HOUSE Name : Mr. Williams Gary Email: williamsgary_compensationoffice@yahoo.it Phone: +234 8060100760 You really have to stop dealing with those people that are contacting youand telling you that your fund is with them, it is not in anyway withthem, they are only taking advantage of you and they will dry you up untilyou have nothing. The only money I paid after I met Mr. Williams Gary was just $125 for thepaper works, take note of that.Once again stop contacting those people, I will advise you to contactMr. Williams Gary so that he can help you to Deliver your fund insteaddealing with those liars that will be turning you around asking fordifferent kind of money to complete your transaction. Thank You and Be Blessed. **She left me her email address and her home address and I have removed it for security reasons. Under To: it stated Undisclosed Recipients. In the email she did not refer to my real name at all. She said that she saw my name and email as one of the beneficiaries?? What in the world is she talking about? I have received many messages about being an beneficiary. But, I don't know these people at all. And whenever they send me an email, they never will use my name. I never fall into their prey but I can't just believe anything that someone says.

Well it is definitely a fake one and/or more so, a scam, good thing you don't fall for those kind of modus cause if you do, they will surely dry you up until nothing is left from you, and you will just be crying in one side of your house while they are celebrating and drinking till they get drunk because of your money. Take care and always be vigilant, happy new year!

Just an added twist to the same old fake money scam. She tried to gain some trust but failed rather badly I think. IF she was a US citizen, one would think she would know our language better. Never fails to amaze me that folks will focus energy on trying to scam others rather than try to make legit money for themselves. And I'd make sure your virus protections, phishing software are all up to date. One would think that at least the dollar amount would change but the last time I saw one of these it was the same - $125. Oh well...Karma will get em in the end.

Hi, Tallygirl09. I get many of these emails in my Netzero account and it is very tiresome! I usually will select the message as block sender so that they will not contact me anymore. They will be placed on an list with many other people that I have blocked from contacting me by email. I don't want to deal with these people. I wish that they would leave me alone.

That's the wonderful thing about Karma,,,we might be there to know about it, but what comes around goes around! Sometimes not as fast as we would like! You might also want to block them from e-mailing you again so your pc is safer.

I believe it is a scam. I would have asked them to mail me a cashier order first in order for me to believe they are really sincere. I am sure they will not accede to my request.

Hi, whyaskq. Yes, you are right. They will just try to beat around the bush then. I bet they won't be honest then.

I wouldn't believe it either, I don't believe any of those emails I get, they make it sound good, but they just want you to send your information so they can steal your identity or take all your money you may have in your bank, and they also tell you to send some money to get the paper work started, but they're just taking your money, thats how they make money, taking it from innocent people who believe them. I hope you don't believe it, I wouldn't want someone to take advantage of you and rob you.

I too received these types of emails and I just deleted them. From what I understand, these are predators out to rip you off whatever money you may have saved and more. Be careful, cream97. Cheers and have a pleasant New Year 2010 evening.

Whenever I see any e-mail from these people (Nigeria is notorious for these types of scams) I don't even bother reading them. I simply put it in my spam folder. If I were compensated from every scam like this or sweepstakes that I get telling me I've won such and such amount of money I would be a multi-billionaire! LOL! Happy New Year! Hi, kellyjeanne! Ain't it though! If I had to respond and if they really was as REAL as they say that they are, I would have been very filthy and stinky rich by now. We all would be!

I say right off the bat that I think that this is a fake .There are two things that I used to determine fakes ,anything that involves me paying out any money and anything involving Nigeria as Nigeriana are some of the biggest scammers ever (my apologies to honest hard working Nigerians) and so I would approach with caution

Hi, ronnyb. I agree. These people are scammers. It is a shame that we have Nigerians that are actually hard working individuals. It is sad that we have crooks that are out just to steal our hard working money as Americans too! They always want money, well they ain't gonna always get it either! Too many people are wising up and catching onto their games. I know that I am one of these "smart" people.

It's fake. I have received many versions of this email since ages ago. So, never bother to reply as if it's real, one should come up with a legit documents and legal procedure and not via email. A scam.

Exactly, corrycrystal. If it is sent by email then you know that they are a fraud. If they are so real then they would have had all of my personal information from the start. And if they did, I would check it out.

You can not be serious, no one should do any business with anyone from Nigeria, that is the home of the internet scam, and most scams, if you sent them any money thats tough it's gone just hope they don't come after you.

There was a special on MSNBC where the reporters went under cover, contacted these people and made arrangements for a meeting where they would exchange money. These people were so surprised to be scammed back because they actually had to buy airline tickets to meet at a neutral location in England. The reporters also had some hidden cameras in Nigeria in one of those rooms where they write a lot of these emails or contact people by phone. It didn't stop them, because even when their government shuts down one location, another one springs up. I've heard of people writing them a crazy email letter back, but you will only receive a ton of spam from that. The best thing to do is ignore and delete.

What happens is the following: They state you won a prize or have an inheritance to be claimed. However they want to mail you a check and request you mail them money back. The thing is the check is fake, so the check bounces and then you're out of the money! Delete the email at once, or better yet, select it as spam. This is called the Advance-free fraud. Since they are giving you an international check it could be 30 to 60 days before your bank discovers that the check is fake. Plus, then you will be responsible for paying ALL the money back. Don't do it, don't even reply to the email. Here is a good link from Wikipedia that goes into detail: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance-fee_fraud

Yeah, Nigeria is the home of all forms of Internet scam and fraud, but you will never know who is a Nigerian online cause the are very good at hiding their identity.
