Why I always think "money is not enough"?

Hi Asanlee, When we were earning less, our needs were simple. As the income gets bigger, we yearn for more luxuries in life. If you have your own business, you feel that money is not enough because of the expected expenses that you alone, as owner, will shoulder. There are a lot to think about the company. There are a lot to improve and thoughts of expansion sometimes are entertained. Contentment may have a part to this feeling too.

maybe you feel money is lack for you bcoz the money you earned this time is not enough to provide for the things you want and needed in your life....yah of course i feel it sometimes especially to my kids bcoz i might cannot give or provide of what they want and needs...

actually sometimes we have to look at how we live andspend the moeny we are earning. everytime our money or earnings rise, our cost of living rises with it and so there goes the feeling "why is our money on hand not enough"...

I think because more is always better so we always want more of things no matter how much we already have. I feel the same way too. I'm not exactly poor as I can still afford my education and a place to live but I definitely would like more money.

If you had your own company then you should be satisfied by now. But if you still had difficulty and shortage with money then there must be something wrong with your lifestyle. You shouldn't change your lifestyle that easily because you are not yet super rich. You maybe buying material things that is very expensive or your company is not totally financially independent yet.

hi asanlee, Sometimes I feel the same way and I happen to be unsatisfied with the things that I got which is not a good trait to have. Because of the many things we want in life, we often want to get all the best we can have. Still we are not happy. I think it is important to know what we need and what we want. I also observed that the more successful we are in monetary aspect the more spending we make and the downfall is losing all of it into waste. I think knowing what will make us happy is far important than anything we want in this life and most of it isn't about material thing.

I think there is a law or rule that says that the more you make the more needs you have. I remember that I once said that I needed a cell phone for emergencies. I now have a plan that has over 1000 minutes a month and I don't know How I got by with out the cell phone. My likes changed to much needed.

No I don’t feel that way coz I know that there is no limit to the amount of money which will ever be sufficient for us. Some of this need is in our minds, some of it is reality. We are a working couple with one child but the money we are earning today hardly seems sufficient for all our needs. The practical reason is that over the past one year, things have become extremely expensive here in India. Essential commodities like veggies, rice, pulses, electricity bills, daily expense at the grocers…everything has increased abnormally and our savings have dwindled accordingly. So in this case, I could really do with a little more money. But apart from this, there are our dreams which have no end…good house, cars, vacations, clothes, dining out, spending on kids…idle fancies which only cause us more stress and steal away our present happiness…so I never want money for these things.

because as our money grows, so are our desires, needs, lifestyles grows as well. That is why you always feel the need and lack. i guess the antidote for that one is to learn to be contented with what you have (you can be contented without being satisfied this is where i am). as well as learn to give and share. Because one of the reason that man feels this way, it's because of looking to what He does not have (of course there is no end); rather than looking to what he has. happy new year asanlee

Dear Asanlee Happy New year.... I can't find anything wrong about your thinking about want to make money more... Because more than 90% of the people having the same thought only... But here only 10-25 percents of the People only get succeed and also their succeed may be differ based on the Money they earned.... All have that eager to earn money but only few can try it and succeed it... If you have only eager means then you can't but I have a hope that you can succeed... Its not an Ice... Why I told that like means, as per your statement, in past you worked as an Employee and now at present you are appointing few employees for your business... So If you can try to search with the same eager (but don't be crazy or greedy about it - its my request) means surely you will move one step further... Why can't you take a resolution (that you will move one step Ahead from present by money status) and will try to achieve it in the year end? All the very best for you my friend.... I hope you can win... But My humble request is don't be in the moneymaking mind forever and you must have to take relax and be a human and take care of your mind and also health and spend your few hours time regularly to your Family too... Because Family is also one of the best Treasures to your Successful life... According to me, I am not that much interested about it... I want to grow up my status as per my need but the same time if any opportunity will knocks my door means I must give respect and will try to welcome it and keep it with me...

No. I think it's not a question of satisfaction, it's a question o being contented of what you have. If we are contented we are happy , no matter how little we have. Because man by nature we are not satisfied. Everyday their are new things coming. Like for example if you have business of your own , ifyou earned lots of money , you want more profit or money for yourself and your family because you are not satisfied and if you have plenty of money , you have plenty of problems or vices also. So if you live a simple life, you're needs are simply, if you live a complex life, your problems are also complex. Thank you.....

actually this is a normal and common feeling in those who have everything , this feeling arise because the person is having everything and he feels what to do now? so the feeling of making more and more money always arise and the person is busy in making money , making more and more money , if you really want to get rid from this feeling then i will suggest you to start devoting your time toward god for 15 minutes dialy , as days will pass you will yourself spend more time towards god and will found that you are more relaxed now.

I should say the more you earn, the more you'll spend. People will limit their spending with limited income, but will not limit their desire if they have more money. You'll buy cheap things if no money, but will buy expensive ones when rich. Look at those superstars, they earn a lot but spend very quickly with expensive or luxary things.

the more your earn the more you desire....and more you desire more money will be needed...it is always not enough...same here!

there is no end of having MORE...it always goes on, but when a person is poor, then he says money is not enough, and when he becomes rich, his wantedness increases and so is the lifestyle, and to maintain such things again the money is lacking so we ask for more.

that is human‘s nature~man~ who would feel his money is enough to spent? 1F is the right view,u feel discontented and u want to make more money amd u feel money isnot enough and u feel discontend again~

Greetings asanlee, Some time back our church got a grant for me to teach to the public about money and nutrition. I called it the M & Ns. We had a textbook which I forget the title of about the money part. I remember it saying though that generally for humans the more money they make the more they want. This is part of our sinful nature that responds to what the Holy Bible refers to as the deceitfulness of riches. The best cure for that is to make Christ first in one's life.
