Is there a way to stop being a light sleeper?

I am a rly light sleeper, everything seems to wake me up or disturbe me so even though i sleep fr 8 hours I get hardly any rest. I have thought about hypnotism but there is no way I could relax enough to let a person I dont know put me under. Any suggestions?

Have you tried some herbal relief? Valerian root works well for me. It is a natural muscle relaxer and has no side effects. You might try other things too like sleeping with a small fan on. The constant hum of the motor sometimes helps drown out the other little noises that might be waking you. Also, try exercise, sometimes it actually helps you sleep!

I have been thrugh every herbal remedy i can find and they all work for a few weeks then the effects start to ware off. ~When I was in my teens i slept with music on but i hav a partner now and he cant sleep with the noise

in my case, I sleep a lot :) but I wake up if there are disturbances but I sleep fast.. :) but I hardly wake up in the morning, its just that I love sleeping...

Make sure your room is clean, dark and slightly cool.

just have any warm drink before sleeping....that will help you...
