I like them when they get enough exercise :-) Many people here keep them because they're good family pets but with children and lots of other activities they don't have enough time to train them, and they get really annoying. But they're good looking dogs, I love taking pictures of them. Good look with yours, if you take her to run triathlon she'll be a happy dog and get enough exercise and things to do.

My husband and I have a golden retriever. He is half a year old and he is a very active and energetic dog. He loves to play in the garden, and when he comes back inside he is more black than white We often take him for a walk on the beach or in a forrest, and he really enjoys that. When I was a child my parens also had a golden retriever and he was very different from our dog. He was scared of many different things and we couldn't take him for a walk because he was afraid of the cars.

I once had a Golden Retriever named "Buddy". He was registered with the A.K.C.,and was full blooded. He loved to run and play. He could fetch anything. He loved to eat Ice in the summer, and once broke his chain running into the house when a skunk approached!I was heart broken to have to give him to my oldest son when we had to move to a condo where no pets were allowed. He gave him away because he wasn't able to care for him in a condo, also. He became a stud dog and I never got to see him again, but saw one of his offspring.

We have a golden retriever named Sundance. He's about three and a half now. He's so energetic and hyper! I swear he can run around and play all day. Our Sunny's a talker too! He barks so much. He'll talk to anyone, anywhere. Sometimes he starts to get hoarse because of all his talking. But he's a very sweet dog, and no matter how much he runs and plays, he always comes back to give lots of kisses!
Keep on training your Golden, soon she might out-run you!

Hi xmlukax,I love Golden Retrievers, they have a wonderful personality, for a large breed they are my favorite.I don't own one because I have times where I don't feel so energetic.I believe they are happiest when they're running around playing.I used to own one ten years ago,I had a fenced in yard then. Now,I stick to small breeds so it can run around the house for exercise.Good luck with your retriever!
