Did you lose or gain some money last year?

When I joined some online earnings opportunities, I earned some money from joining paid blogging with no investments, I also earned some from winning online contests, plus I got a job. But when I joined some PTC sites and upgraded, I lost some also. I also did major travels abroad and did some shopping. I lost some money and gadget when I forgot my backpack in the taxi while going to some domestic flights. To sum it up, I still lost some money but I just told myself that everything is relative and I still have a job and still have chances of earning and money is not the most important things in life.

I think all in all I gained money. 2009 was the year when I started earning online and with that I gained some money writing and rewriting articles. I also started a small business and that's an additional money for me. I resigned so I think that's when I lose my monthly income..haha.. but that's just fine because I still earn online and I'm earning a little with my business.

Hi thanks! I'm sure you will think of something soon. My dream business was a cafe or restaurant but since I need a big capital to start with that kind of business, I opted for something attainable first which is selling organic products.=) the capital is not that much and the return of investment is really fast. hope you can start your very own business soon.. Wish you all the luck!

I ran an Internet Cafe business way back home in our small town. At that time I was still working in the department of education and the salary was just enough for myself and family, I just have some business and availed some loans to get started. It was all good for few months, but the problem was, if you have a business, manage it yourself or else it will just ended up to nothing. It was tiring for me,although of mysiblings helped me but they were not as concerned about me. It still ended up making myself worked hard and sleeping late at night. All equipments were new and new building. One day the cafe was robbed and took some cash and other gadgets plus my brother's wallet with all his important IDs. So the cafe went on, when I decided to work and move in the US, I closed it because nobody will take care of it. But family members have the key and they can use it anytime. Hope you are doing fine with your business.

I lost money for last year. I saved up funds but had to pay a lot of stuff thus I ended up having no emergency funds. Thus, It fueled my desire to earn more online this 2010 for my own savings for myself. Hopefully I reach my target of 150 dollars.

Personally this is a Great way to look at things, as everything is all relative when it comes to Earning $$, and I am sure we all take our chances with things from time to time, and it is how you learn from them that makes everything always worth while. I overall think I did OK, as I might have gained in some areas while loosing in others, and this is where it is up to me to learn and grow with what works Best for me. Just need to do what you can when you can and hope it all works out for the Best as in the end.

It like your line " it is up to me to learn and grow with what works for me". This is also what's in my heart. As we all know that each of us is unique, the are also opportunities that are unique to use because of our talents and skills.

Well I made decent earnings online via mylot and discovered another site that pays decent money .However for most of last year I lost money because I became obssessed with online forex trading .This is one of the largest trading markets with many big banks being involved in it but its also one of the most fickle and many perons lost money even the more professional persons .I remember last year one trader lost 7 billion dollars of his banks money in a day so taht shows you the extent of the volatility .Consequently I feel bad but not that bad I am peanuts compared to what others have lost

Very good attitude Ronny. I always come accross with forex trading but I never tried it. The story I told myself is that, I do not want to read more informations about because I can not comprehend in English. It might takes time for me to understand all the terms. And if I will join, it seems that I do not have any destination. That is why I did not join.

I lost a lot of money when I lost my job. I feel into debt and could barely keep my head above water. This is something I simply couldn't have. Its not something I want. I've joined some online sites, but I've made the most here. So I don't know what else to think.

Hi Kayla, I know you can still find another job and can still recover from your debt. I can see you are in the United States, have you tried eHow, it is good for residual income although that site have so many bugs that the staffs are fixing every now and then but still it is worth. Let me know if you are interested so I can guide you in the process. I am taking a break from eHow but my earnings still up monthly.

we lost a lot for september 26 Philippines specially our city Marikina wa badly hit by the typhoon. my mothers house was flooded up to the roof and we lost a lot of things there and a lot of wonderful memories. but with the help of relatives and friends we cleaned the house and repainted it again. but around november me and my wife got a small stall at a bazaar and before the christmas day we gain a few bucks and we are happy. we are planning to go on bazaar again next year.

That was very sad about the typhoon and the flood. That makes some people lucky for not experiencing those kind of calamity. Yes, trying something new like the bazaar is a good start and as you gain experience in that area, you can improve your strategy on your next business.

Wow! That's a sad story about the gadget. But at least you have such a positive outlook on life, it sounds like you made an easy recovery and didn't let it keep you down. I made some money when I got a seasonal job (a 2nd part time job) at Macy's, and lost some money (technically) when they decided to cut back on hours. But again, like you said, it's all relative, and I'm still afloat financially, so it's all good.

Too painful to talk about... but the Lord never gives you a situation you cannot handle, so I remain blessed. Sounds like you do, too.

i think last year was full of surprises for me and i did lost and gain some amount of money in 2009 , there were many loses and many gains in 2009 , i will say that it was equall , whatever happens with s always happen to make the balance equall so my answer is also that both lose and profit were equall , though gone from ups and down but still 2009 was a good year and really thanks god for helping me each time and really appreciate my fathers courage though gone through a big lose at a time he worked wisely.
