I actually do not think Ribery is a good buy for Real Madrid. In Alonso, Ronaldo and Kaka, they have all the midfield that they need. I do not think that Ribery would be required. In fact, the move can hurt Ribery more than Real in the World Cup year. I would rather see Real look for a good defensive midfielder of the mould of Essien if they can get one.
Cheers!

Madrid is like a leech, besides Raul i do know know of anybody else who has come through their youth system. Definitely not good for football.
Madrid is known for bringing an end to promising careers, Ribery would be doing just that. In any case they do not need a midfielder or a striker. Vidic may move but Rooney in my opinion will not, but you never know.
Madrid is only interested in filling stadiums up and selling t-shirts. if they win a cup on the way that would be a bonus, if not sack the manager.

of the players you mentioned only Casillas came through the youth system. The reason i say Madrid destroys careers is because there are a lot of examples, Owen was one of them, the most promising player to come out of England after Gascoine scored more goals than Raul coming on as a sub. Saviola, Jose Antonio Reyes the most recent Van Nistelroy. They signed Beckham & Figo who played in the same position, Beckham just because he had a huge fanbase in Asia. All clubs want to generate revenue so that they can keep playing football at the top level, in case of Madrid it is the opposite.
thats just what i feel. do you guys agree?

Many good, talented players have come through there youth system............... Drenthe, Heugian, Ramos, Cassilas.......... to name a few......
And u are also wrong that Madrid ends career of footballers............. because they sign players when they are at the peak of there forms........... and let them go when they don't have form............ so we see for many players Madrid becomes the last big clubs for which they have played and say that MAdrid have ended there career............. regarding Ribery........... Madrid will be the last big club for him ................. coz he will sign a 4-5 yrs contract.............. and will end his career in Madrid..............
Also all big clubs are interested in selling T-Shirts and filling up stadiums ............ otherwise they wouldn't have been spending so much for star footballers.................

well, coming to ribery, he will surely leave bayer. well, looking at this carrier, he had change 6 clubs in this decade, in this six clubs he never played for a big club, other then bayer. he has not been a committed player to any club bcos, he kept on changing clubs for every 2 or three years...so, far his run with bayer has been the longest, since he got an offer from real we will surely leave them. bayer also needs to sell him, other wise he will not renew his contract and bayer also cant make any money out of him...

Hi goodday
Ribery going to REal Madrid is official? I dont think its a nice idea, they already have too many players on that spot. They should concentrate instead on getting a better defense. I dont think their defen is bad bad, but it isnt their strong point either and it would be more logical to reinforce the defense with better players.

I don't think the great player is the major causes to be the winner. The important is just the characteristic building, so you can see man. united or maybe arsenal, they have the best manager and never needs a famous player. In my opinion real madrid just want to make a bussiness in football.

ya................. all teams makes business out of football............ if not thn how could Man U or Arsenal features in the richest Football clubs of the world????........... Its true that Real Madrid spends huge sums to buy famous players............ which Man U or Arsenal doesn't................ but it doesn't means that they don't make business out of football..............

I'm 100% sure that Real Madrid isn't only club who wanna buy Ribery. It's rather earlier to say the transfer market in this summer but the Frenchman may not satisfied in the Munich as i guess. He need to ECC title to value himself. I'm not gruantee that many good players equal to a championship but at least a short-way to the success, isn't it?

He does have problem with the coach of Bayen Munich............... and from the last season he made it clear thet he does not want to stay with Munich................ and he wanted to join Barcelona.............. though Real was after him for a long time .............. and i am sure the transfer fee will be huge...................... coz Bayan had made it clear that they want a fee close to that of Ronaldo if Real want ribery.................. And its also true that Ribery wants to leave Bayan and join a team which is capable of lifting the ECC............... coz he has won everything other than ECC

Yea, u point that. Maybe those two problems let Ribery leave the Allianz Stadium. He really gained all the titles except one ECC but isn't it an ultimate cup for most of players? And also, many medias report that he has a breach with van Gaal. I don't know anything more about him but just quite sure this guy will be a quite expensive buying.

You have to wonder about how many attacking players Real actually need, unless they are looking to unload a few. I think there is more chance of Ribery ending up in the EPL personally, but with the silly money that Real are offering just now you never know.
The British papers today are saying that Real are set to offer £60M for Rooney! I doubt they would get him even at that price.

They are looking to upload some.................... Liverpool is set to get Van der vaath on loan.................... and if roumers are correct ................ Arsenal are looking to buy Hunteelar.............. this transfer season............ and real is set to sell around 10 players to reduce there team size which is currently at 39..................... And ya they have made a record bid to get Rooney and if u guys listin to me................... they will be successful in getting Rooney............

i think, real madrid is a club that focus on "make money" only. that's why they are more focus to buy a famous player. thats a fact. for them, i believe, to get a championship is second aim. good or bad, its depend how their player can play in "soccer star" in the field.

that's why they are known as Galacticoes..................... they just buy players because of there name and fame.................. coz they think name and fame will get them championships.................... though in most cases they are correct............... thats why i love Madrid....................
