I wish to do more posts tonight but I am really having some difficulties. My monitor keeps flickering. Something must be wrong and I do not know exactly what could be wrong. I would like to know how I can troubleshoot this. The person whom I can have this laptop maintained or repaired will be back by next week. I don't think I could wait that long.

Hmmm, have you tried lowering the brightness level of the screen? Haven't really experienced something like that but, a flickering screen isn't a good thing to have, especially when you have to use the computer for a long time..

If its flickering, there's a chance that it's not good news. Mine did that then a month or two later, I had to get a new one. So its likely that the monitor is about ready to shut down. It flickered for several weeks and after a while, I could barely see it before turning it on. Then the picture was completely blank. Worst case scenario but that's what happened when mine did that.

Oh, that's not good news... Well, I'll have mine checked first. If the worst case scenario happens, then I will just buy a new one.

I am very sorry to hear that. Have you checked all of the connections to your monitor to make sure they are firmly connected? I would do that first and if that does not work, go into your control panel and troubleshoot it. Good luck. How old is your monitor? The picture tube may be going out.

I know this reply may come a little late, but have you considered updating your video card driver and your display driver software? If the monitor is flickering, and it's a laptop, then your vedio card may be waring out. Because your video card controls your display. But you can update drivers for free at the manufacture's website.

I have never had my monitor flicker. I'd go under the frequently asked questions and see if that's in the trouble shooting guide. I don't think I could wait that long neither. I don't understand why its doing that. I hope you can get it fixed soon!
