dreaming of my own home

i have since been dreaming of having a house of our own. this dream had been in my heart even before i was married.
like what i told my husband, i guess it is in every woman's heart to become the queen of her own home. there is that desire to settle down, have children, and take care of one's home.
but my husband and i talked about it and it seems God is leading us to do something else. or at least, my husband is being led to be somewhere else and having a physical house could become "useless" in a sense. i am not sure.
so i just gave my desire to the Lord and I just asked Him to re align my will to His. I have not given up on hoping that someday we can have our own home. but the Lord will have to give it to us. and my husband and I have to be in agreement to it. but i have entrusted that desire to the Lord and it is up to Him to grant us that desire.
God bless you all! :D

Hi, spoiled311. I can understand how you feel. I have always wanted my own home. I don't like living with other people. And, I don't want to live in an apartment all of my life too. I am glad that I have some where to live right now, but it is not my future home. Let God be the one to guide your family into the destiny that he has planned for you. He knows all of your wants and needs and he will fulfill them in time. God has a time set up for all of your desires that you have asked faithfully for. Continue to have faith and trust him for a home of your own. I hope that God blesses you all to have your own home someday.

Playing with dolls and decorating their "homes" was my favorite game as a child and still is. Hope and Faith will lead you in many different directions from what you might have planned. After all, we never know when our time is up. It sounds like you might have an interesting adventure ahead of you and maybe that will help make up for the house dream. Maybe you could start saving up for one since having a good down payment is important, even if it's just a few dollars a week, it would help you know that the time will come. Best Wishes for a Wonderful New Year!!

spoiled311,
I too want my own home. My husband and I are recently married and are just starting out with bills. We've got a few but not many so we're trying to save. We also want a car, I'd like to have both fairly quickly. I know it's near impossible to have both at the same time, and if it is it may be back breaking. I guess more then anything I want freedom. I love it here where I live now, but feel that my husband and I are old enough to make our own decisions without scruitny, even if we do mess ourselves up, we'll learn.
I guess I too need to just let it be and save, just give it to god to handle, but I'm selfish and want to worry, I know I shouldn't though.

To have a dream home is absolutely exciting. I think everyone dreams of it, especially a woman. She wants to settle down, has children and take care of her home as you said above. In your dream house, you can decorate it whatever you like with your husband and children. It's spiritual life.
So do not give up on hoping that oneday you can have your own home. Where there is a will, there is a way.

oh spoiled311 ive been dreaming of having one too. we live with my in-laws for the last 7 years and you just cant have the final decision most of the time. someone would always interfere with your plans. although i have nothing against them coz they're really kind and supportive, there are times that small things become big issues. but this year is a good one for us that i can assure of buying one by the mid of June. hopefully! goodluck to you

For the time being,I live with my parents cuz I cant afford to buy my own apartment.Since Im not married, its OK.But I still want to live alone.I think I wont marry a guy without his own house or apartment, how the house or apartment looks like is another thing.lol Then I can be the queen of my own home.
Good luck!

Hi. Having an own home is very exciting. I've just bought our dream home last year and we've been staying at our home for 6 month already. It's so exciting as we can start saving our money after 7 years of paying rent for a house. Another things is that we can do whatever we want to do at our own house like decorating and etc. This weekend, I've just went to IKEA shop and buy a nice few things over there. We've just bought a wall rack that really look nice when I installed it at dining area. This is the only problem when having your own house. You just keep on buying things that you feels suit to your house..:
