Carpe Diem. But how many of us really feel like we seize the day?

Life is short. Perhaps you know someone who was taken too soon. When tragedy strikes it does make you ponder life and how you are contributing to it. How many of us have yet to convert potential into actuality? What is it that holds us back from realising our hopes and dreams?

Yeah, I try to whenever I can. There is opportunities awaiting around the corner every day. But will those opportunities be available tomorrow? Perhaps they will but there is a large chance that they will not be. I feel its best to just seize any chance I have to today.

Hello, and welcome to MyLot. Great discussion topic. I live by a motto which is very similar to 'carpe diem.' It's this: 'Treat every day as if it will be your last day on earth, because one day, you will be right!' So, if an opportunity comes up, however small, I'll take it. I'm a very spontaneous person anyway, so I can usually spot and grasp an opportunity when it presents itself.
