Where have you been on your travels in 09?

Where did you go for your travels in 2009? I visited lots of places in 09. Bangkok, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand! I loved New Zealand so much that I'm now making the move and emigrating out there later this month. What are all of your travel plans for 2010? I'm hoping to go back to Australia again, and when visiting my parents in Scotland I hope to make a trip to Paris! I feel lucky that I'm able to travel all of these different places, and see the beautiful scenery and amazing cuisine that the world has to offer.

Holy cow! I am totally jealous! Take me with you next time! . Sadly I have not really been anywhere. The furthest I went last year was to Canada for about 2 minutes, and then Chicago in the fall of '09. Those are my 2 big "exciting" trips. Sad part is, though, is that I live in Minnesota. Which means I am probably about 400 miles from Canada and about 450 miles from Chicago. These are not big trips. This spring I want to go with a friend to Hawaii. I'm really hoping this one turns out. I've started making plans before and they've fallen through. It's always a money issue.

Haha, totally, I could do with a travel buddy cos I've done all of that myself! Other than seeing my friends in NZ I travelled completely alone! I know what you mean about money, I saved up 5 years to be able to do that trip, so I was very lucky! Hope Hawaii works out for you, let me know if it does! :)

In 2009 I have been to Madeira, Cyprus and Italy. It was the first time that I had ever visited these countries so they were very good holidays. It was good to see different cultures, scenery and the food. I tried Meze whilst in Cypurs and it was delicious. It was the first time I had ever eaten Cypriot food and I would love to try it again. My favorite thing I did whilst on holiday was going scuba diving in Cyrpus. I had never done this before and after my initial trepedation, I loved it and I am planning to go again on my next holiday which is in Malta.

Wow, that sounds absolutely amazing! I've always wanted to visit Cyprus and Italy, maybe soon eh?! I must admit I've never scuba dived in my life, but as soon as I get back to New Zealand I'm going to try it. It sounds absolutely incredible. How long will you be spending in Malta?

In 2009 I took my toddler son on a twelve hour flight to South Africa. We explored Cape Town and the Garden Route. I was about 18 weeks pregnant at the time. The weather in January was warm and sunny. For June 2010 I have booked a flight to Canada. I shall be taking my toddler son and baby daughter to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. I love traveling and have a long list of places to go on my travel wish list.

I have been to Singapore only last October for a visit to my brother. i stayed there for three months and I can say that I liked the place because of its clean surroundings and very well-maintained discipline amongst the people living in Singapore be it their locals or the foreigners working there. I also like the variety of foods there. I will try my best to land a job there someday.

Really...nice for you to share us about your holiday destinations. You travel a lot and I'm sure you are not having problems with money because if you did...you wont be able to travel that ea silly. Traveling needs a lot of money and you are very lucky indeed 'coz you were able to.

Lucky you! I went to Australia and New Zealand in 2007 and absotlutely loved it, Bangkok, Japan and Singapore in 2005. Japan was lovely, I'd love to go back. In 2009 I've only been to Vienna, London, Helsinki and Kuusamo (north of Finland) . I've been to Vienna 3 times, I have friends there and really love the city. I know I will go back in 2010, I can't go a year without going to Vienna. I'm going back to Helsinki too, in Febuary. I might try to there in the summer too, and I hope to go Australia in august/september. Maybe not the best time to go to Australia, but I'm going to a conference. I think I might go to the north, in the summer that would be too warm for me anyway:-)
