Hi, We often hear that it would be good to take vitamin C for the protection of our body at the beginning of a cold. From empiricism, vitamin C might have some effects on a cold, and it would be preferable to obtain vitamin C as part of a balanced diet. The effects of vitamin C might be better when it is taken with other vitamins rather than taken alone, as mentioned above.
Vitamin C strengthens connective tissue, increasing resistance to viral invasion. Vitamin C also strengthens the body’s immune system, neutralizes free radicals, and kills viruses (9, 10). These four important functions of vitamin C work together to safely and effectively reduce the frequency, severity, and duration of a cold.

You catch less cold when you have a regular intake of vitamin C. I drink plenty of lemon juice which is a natural vitamin C and do not catch cold even when the entire family has it. It is not a matter of belief but matter of practice which enriches you immune system. Again never drink or take vitamin C when you already have cold as it aggravates the condition.
Happy mylotting.

Yup I believe in it. If all experts says it prevents colds then it prevents colds but not all the time. Vitamins C increases your immune system and in result, your body will produce antibodies enought to kill virusses.
If ever I feel I am having colds, I immediately buy some fruits or fresh fruit juice or vitamin drinks to lessen the effects of my colds and continue my day. It really annoying having colds while you have to do something :D

I still believe it. Maybe vitamin c doesn't have a direct link to colds, but it makes our body's immune system stronger. It is also present in most fruit juices and we all know that a common cold remedy is to drink lots of juice. I think that's why vitamin c is believed to prevent or cure colds.
