Yes I do write but not diary. I used to but believe that not everything in your life is worth writing or to be read in future. So, I have stopped it long back. But as I love writing, so, I have started and converted it into something useful and interesting for me and others also.
I write songs, short-stories, scripts and poems. Naturally they are based on my personal experience and observation. Ideas do comes like to flash. So, what I do, I make a note of it in my phone in raw format and then develop them later. Ideas take more time to get converted into real meaningful and interesting thing.

hello bingchen!
when i was in highscholl till college, i have this habit of writing in a diary. i write everything in there, good & bad experiences. its also nice way for me to let go & express my feelings. it has been so helpful to me for the past years of my life. but after i graduate from college, i also starts to stop writing in my diary, there's one instance that my mom read some things that i wrote & i feel embarrassed...hehe but i don't feel mad coz actually it helps us, since mom read how i feel & what i think about our family and because of that, it serves as a wake up call for them...
but, i also lose interest in writing down everything, and now, what i just do is, whenever i feels like writing or there's a special happening in my life, i write it down...and i just can't explain the joy i am feeling whenever i am reading back those pages in my diary that reminds me of how my life has been...
good day!

I began writing my first journal when I was 7. It came from a goody bag at my best friend's birthday and I began my work in it immediately. I wrote all about the adventures of a young child and drew pictures beside each event.

No, I don't. Sometimes I regret it because it is nice to read what happened in the past, specially if the events were nice.
When I was a teenager, and mostly teenagers write diaries, I am not trying to make a statement here but I know that most of the people I know were writing diary when they were younger while they don't do that any more, or they don't want to admit that they do...anyway...when I was a teenager I wanted to write one, specially when I was 17 and several years after but I never found time between studying, going out, dating and all the other stuff I did.
Now not much happens to me and I don't see the point of writing down my thoughts. Maybe one day a write Confessions like Jean Jacques Rousseau...specially because with time we interpret the things that happened to us differently.

Long ago in my youth, I did used to keep a diary. I wrote my most intimate thoughts on each page and could write in great length. I had a hard time talking with others at that time, so with a diary I could jot down everything I wanted to say - as if I were having a conversation with myself. And then one day I discovered someone was reading my diary - and that put an end to my journaling. I realized I couldn't trust anyone if I kept my thoughts outside of "me", so I just kept "my secrets" inside me where no one could find them. Then I discovered letter writing with friends and eventually forums online where I can again write all I wanted . . . except that I would get feedback and learn to communicate through writing - and that has been good "therapy" for me - instead of keeping all the thoughts to myself.

Hi Angelin disguise: In my case I stop witing on a diary not because this make me living in the pas, on the oposite i think that this activity is good to liberate the bad feelings and to organize what you would like to do to have a better future. In that sense, writing a diary is a nice activy. Unfortunetly for me I have not yet found the perfect state wher i would be able to do the things I should do on my day and at the same time to have a spare time for me. Thanks for your answer Angelin disguise. Hope you are having a nice day. Happy New Year and Keep Mylotting. Take Care.

Hi bingchen: I like this activity and i think that writing a diary it's just fine and something i loved to do when i was a teenager, but you know, now that I grow up i am a busy person and i have not found yet a space for all the things I would love to do, that's the probolem with jobs, you need them but they make you a slave. Even with that I make a quick review about all the things i live in my day and how I feel before going to bed. Thanks for asking us this question. Hope you are having a nice day. Happy New Year and Keep Mylotting. Take Care.

During schooling days, we are encourage (and made) to write diaries, I don't really do it as a habit but I have to for my grades. But when I was packing my room one day, I stumble upon the diary which I wrote for grading, it was quite a fun thing reading what happened during those every days which I thought was normal but there were always something interesting that kept me reading. Although I don't keep a book of diary for the present, I wrote them in my blog only those happy moments because I find it hard to share sad things with people and I want to look back and smile when I read it. So yes, I do like this way to remember my life and also to share with anyone who is keen to share my joy.

I used to write in a diary, but not anymore. Now, I prefer to talk to someone close to me when I have something to tell then writing in a diary. I prefer this way, because I will get a direct respons from them and I couldn't get this from a diary. The other thing is because I feel that my diary is a private thing to me, and having a diary makes me feel uncomfortable because I always feel afraid that someone incidentally could find my diary and read it...
But I'm not completely stop writing on a diary. There are times when I still wanted to write. It's more about moments that I want to remember in the future, like a great moment when I gave birth to my babies or my children's first day to school, etc.

Yes, I like this way to remember my life now and then. I still have the habit of writing diaries even until now. It's really helpful to me. I can store in it all my plans and wishlists. I can release all my emotions and feeling through it, it's something that I can rely to.

Hi,
I used to write diaries. Its a great way to express yourself, especially those pent up feelings. The words you could never express to anyone you can share it unhesitatingly with your diary. Its your nearest and closest friend. There was a time when I couldn't find anything except negative things happening all around me. So I quit writing diary. I didn't want to keep my bad or good memory to be written down like that. But after constant effort of a year or so, I have entirely changed myself. Now I am being more and more positive day by day. I think its a miracle and now I am seriously thinking about writing about it all somewhere.
That was a wonderful discussion... I really appreciate it
God bless you

i do write work diary during my work time. as an engineer i wrote details of every work i did, as work procedures of a certain activity. how many resources involved, such as manpower, equipment, power, water, gas, fund and time, etc.
so i think it is important to write down the related experience, skills, knowledge, lessons learnt, costs and whatever valuable regarding your work.
