Do you scan the streets for coins that people dropped?

I pick up dropped/lost money whenever I see it on the street. Every little bit helps, right? Here's a great tip to find change. If you live somewhere where snow covers the ground in winter, go out and look for change in spring just after most of the snow has melted. I found a good deal of change on a day like this during a two block walk from my old job to Walgreens.

Wow that sounds like a good idea. I'm actually surprised that I have not thought of that one. Still it sounds perfect. Change has been dropped and long forgotten by then. No one would think to look in the spring after the snow melts but that does sound like a perfect idea. Even if its just a handful of coins, at least its something, after all.

Yes we do. Our family has a gallon milk jug. We put the change we find in it. My daughter will sometimes say, "Mom, I think we should go on a money walk." And we do. It's good exercise, and profitable too!

Sometimes if I am not in a hurry, most of the time I am in a hurry though. But I de tend to find a lot of pennies lying about usually I am with my 6 year old when I see them though because when I am walking with him holding his hand we tend to walk slower, but I always tell him to pick up the pennies and put them in his pocket.

I saw a coin in a trash bin a week ago. It was only a penny and it was in a public bathroom, but I wondered about how it got there and what person throws money in the trash.

Well, I don't exactly scan the floor, even though I like money. I don't do that. I think I'm just a lucky guy for some reason. Throughout my short life, I found $10 on grass, found 3 $1 notes on the floor, and many many coins. But then, I always spend it on food straight away. Since I never use much money, I use it when they're free.

Goodness me! I dont do nothing like that. Its kind of sick to me and pray to god that he gives u better oppurtunities in life than looking for money in the road.
Cheers,

I wouldn't say that I actually scan the ground for change that people have dropped. I just have a tendency to look at the ground when I'm walking so I always end up catching all the change that people drop.
Whenever I come across money that someone else has dropped I do pick it up. It may be just a few cents here and there but I take it home and add it to the change that I already have saved up. Eventually that money will be cashed in so I can get actual cash for it.

i am always on the look out for loose change on the ground. i also pick up stuff that i see on the ground. i found a letter 'p' that was off an old key chain which i used for a craft.
i always pick up loose change and we put it in a jar in the kitchen and when we have enough money saved up, we go out for ice cream.

Hello mega. When I find a coin on the street, I pick it up without a second thought. I think that it is better to pick it up rather than ignore it from lying cold on the floor. Besides, it is good for the small coin to have someone to go to. lol

All the time. The other thing I do is, every time I go to the coffee machine or snack machine at work, I check the change tray to see if there are any coins in there. It's surprising how many people put too much money in the machine and then leave without taking their change. Even a penny or two's worth having, it all adds up over time.

I don't really scan places to find change, however whenever I do see change I will most likely pick it up. By most likely, I mean if the change is in a super filthy place I am not gonna pick the change up because it would gross me out. I do find it fun picking up small change. It's fun collecting it and then counting it up later on when I feel bored enough.
