Do you want to move up, or just make more money?

Let's be honest.. if we are on this site, then we all by default have a common interest: money.
A friend of mine just earned twice as much as I did last year by not being the best of the best at her job, but being just "ok" at her job. In fact she did that for her four contract jobs all at the same time. So, I ask you: Do you think you can earn more money working as a full-time as an employee... moving up that corporate ladder, or do you think you can earn more money with contract work?

i dnt think u can balance ur real life income with ur online income...they r both poles apart...its either gotta be bigbucks made in real life or online(which is highly unlikely)
but many of my frnds do make quite a lot online....some r makin more thna they do in real life

Sorry.. I don't mean to offend or hurt anybody, but for me, the best way to reach the top of the corporate ladder is to own the ladder. Here's a two suggestions: Either start your own business (own your own ladder), or buy the ladder you are climbing right now (buy the company where you are working right now, buy it from the owner!). For me, that's the best way to reach the top of the ladder!

I think that as a contract worker you can be paid more because of the type of work it is. That is to say that to me contact workers do not necessarily have health insurance so they are paid more, or they don't have a 401k etc so they are paid more. I do think that contract workers are also paid for their expertise, whether it's just "okay or "average" or if it's "off the wall excellent"...
Hmm I think a full time job is great as well but going up the ladder takes time, and so maybe honing some expertise and capitlizing on it would be more profitable and faster in the long run.
Do you get what I mean, sometimes I can be confusing.
