Does your kitty do this?

Does your cat try to follow you to the bathroom when you are ready to take a shower?? Our older cat won't do this, but my daughters baby cat does it to her. She feels guilty that she has to tell him no, but she doesn't want him in there while she's bathing because she can't watch him (prevent him from getting into trouble). Just wondering if your cat does it too ^_^

Precious will sometimes come in and look around when I get in the tub. But normally he'll look in the tub, realize that it's filled with water, and that I'm sitting in it, and leave. Little bit and Chainia don't bother. At least with me. Well, little bit will on rare occassions. But the animals have their own minds. And none of thim are all that young. So I don't have to worry about them. Most of the time they are sleeping.

Yeah, her cat likes to kind of get on the ledge of the tub (it's a tub/shower mix) and check it out then he realizes it's water, but he still doesn't like to leave, so he tries to hide in the litter box, but eventually before she showers, he gets out. Still, when she is in the shower he waits by the door. He doesn't understand. He's like "Why are you in all that water? WHy don't you lick yourself like me" haha

We have the opposite situation; our older cat waits outside the door for me but our kitten is not bothered, in fact he does not connect with us all that much at all, all he wants to do is play! It bothers me somewhat because my previous cat was very affectionate, I am hoping that his lack of affection is just because he is a playful kitten and he will settle as he grows...I hope...

Our kitty, Jax, will jump in the shower with you! Doesn't seem to mind the water at all... I was washing blinds in the tub yesterday. I took a set out to rehang and grab another set from the kitchen to wash. When I came back, Jax was walking around in the tub in about 3 inches of water! Thankfully, it was clean rinse water. When we are showering, he will sit on the edge of the tub waiting to make his move... as soon as you are blocking the water from hitting the back of the tub, he jumps right in. It's hilarious! Don't think he can hurt himself doing this, so I don't scold him - he's just curious. My last cat, Libby, would do the same thing. The cat before Libby, would sit outside under the drip from the roof. Go figure. Guess some cats do like the water :)

My cat Smyles loves to watch me take a shower. He loves water. Most cats I know hate water (other than drinking it), but I think someone forgot to tell Smyles. He jumps in the shower when I am in there and I have to get the cold water on so he does not get burned. He never gets into trouble he just loves to stare at me. My husband thinks it is funny. Smyles never watches my husband shower just me.
