Is Scrabble more enjoyable than Monopoly?

I know some people who'd rather play Scrabble than Monopoly... but is it really that enjoyable? I think Monopoly brings out the worst in a person because it will force you to be selfish and greedy. Scrabble, on the other hand, can enhance your vocabulary while you enjoy competing with whoever you're playing with.
So, my question is, which board game is more enjoyable?

I haven't played Monopoly for years but I remember that a game could last a long time.I play Scrabble regularly on-line and enjoy it very much so I would say that for me,Scrabble is probably the more enjoyable game.Mind you, if I started playing Monopoly again, that could change! I think the important thing to remember with both games is that,after all, it is only a game!

Wow both games are something I like to play at times. Scrabble is a great game for exercising the mind. I do tend to play that every now and again, both the board game and on the computer as well. Monopoly is something that I used to play a lot but not that much anymore. The reason is that it can take a long time to complete a game. I do agree that some people take Monopoly a bit too seriously, bringing out the worst of them. Still, you can really make that case for any game. Competition does tend to do that to people.

I prefer monopoly among two.It is a strategic game which involves on how you can domninate your opponents.Scrabble is quite fun to but it does not bring much pleasure to me.Monopoly need an analysis for you to be richest among your opponents.The game itself gives a thrill that boost up your mind to think.

I like Scrabble better. It really makes you think and you learn something where as when you're playing monopoly is just "all about the money" and like you said, you tend to be selfish and greedy. I play scrabble online at pogo.com and enjoy it very much.

I like Scrabble more because you know sooner and later it will end once the tiles are all used up. Monopoly seems to be unending game. It could go on and on and on.
Besides scrabble makes you improve your vocabulary.

Well out of the two I like monopoly better because its just more to do with buying and selling properties. However, my favorite all time board game would have to be "Clue". I like it because it makes you think and its a mystery and its just so much fun. They have a new version out that I really need to buy.
