Do you prefer taking a class online if it is available?

I always take my classes in the traditional class room way, not online. But this winter because of the bad weather I am realizing that I should have taken one of my class (that was available online also) online. I have not yet taken any online class, but I am considering this for next semester. Do you prefer taking classes online? Do you think that it makes any difference?

Given the choice to do online or traditional, I would go for the traditional. Somehow I just feel more real to see and hear from the speakers directly. I would go online only if I can do it middle of night or at odd hours.

I understand, for some people traditional classes work better.

For many people, especially those with families, jobs, etc., online classes makes the most possible sense, so yes, at my age and with my schedule, that is the only way to go. Karen

I have taken classes both in the traditional classroom and online. I find that one has to be very disciplined with the online classes. It is very easy to ignore the online method or put it off, feeling as though one has 'plenty' of time. With a traditional class the time is alloted in one's schedule. With an online class, one has to make the time and stick by their resolve! As for the difficulty of the class, I find them very similar. Although, if one likes a lot of interaction with the professor, the online may not be as good...as there is limited interaction and of course it is via chat or email.

yes! Im very excited about it too! On January 14 I start a six-week online course that will formally teach me about at-home employment. An hour of class four days a week and then an hour of homework for 4 weeks and then 2 weeks of at-home practicum where I'll actually get to choose an online job to try out!

I always wish I can take online classes due to my time schedule in the office. Having a lot of work during the day at the office, I wish I can just take some online classes for the sake of improving my knowledge and getting extra qualification.

As someone who has taken all of his college courses online, the answer is yes, I do prefer taking them online. Its just much less of a hassle to me. You do not have to brave the cold weather. Also, they can be worked at from the comfort of your own home, at your own pace, working around family, work, or whatever else your life brings. I prefer and highly recommend online education opportunities.

Exactly, what can be better than finish a class without leaving the comfort of home.

I have never taken a class on line, but I suppose I could try anything, especially now that my husband had wireless internet installed. We just got it this morning, and I am absolutely loving it. Mylot is running better for me than it has in years, because I have faster and better internet. Also, no more bandwidth issues! YAY!!!

Well, I like the traditional class room way ,but maybe in the winter is a good idea to make an exception since it might be more convenient to take the class wearing pajamas. Ha Ha!

I haven't taken any classes online. I would like to but money an issue. I do like the classroom as it is nice to socialize after class and have someone to bounce ideas off.

It is better to take online courses. You'll feel relax and you can study at your own pace. And now some of the online courses offer online assistance. I have done online course for 1 year and it was a success.
