A heard a song playing and it goes shame on you if you fooled me once, shame on me if you fooled me twice. Was it really our fault if we were fooled twice? I dont know the answer, since I haven't fooled twice. I want to learn from my readers so please feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks!

It means that if we don't learn from our mistakes, then it's our fault. Say I asked to meet you somewhere. I never show up, and you wait for about an hour in the cold before you give up on me. I call you again, a week later and the same thing happens. Technically, it would be my fault, but the moral of the story is also like that saying, if a dog bites you once, he'll do it again. Okay, well that one is actually more for people that get beaten or abused, but still. Next time make me meet you at your house, or you come to mine. If there's a chance I won't show up a SECOND time, well... shame on you. Both of us, really. But still, it's an old saying.

i know it's just easy to understand the logic in this but when you are in a situation which you are too emotionally attached, just like being in love...I think most people are fooled not just one or twice even more than that. Just like what happened to me. i love your post JustLikeYou. I hope it is as easy as that.:(

it is our fault because we let something happened when we already have a hint that the person could do such a thing. The reason however is that we have learned to forgive and we are hoping that after the mistake, a new and a changed person will become of him or her. But the thing is, even if forgiveness was given, side effect would be paranoia.
