Approval Times for Up-Front Articles

Hello. Normally it only takes maybe 2-4 days to get my articles approved that I submit for up-front payment. Over the last couple weeks it's been taking a little longer. I have an article I submitted on the 29th of December that I am still waiting on and a few others after that point.
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining and it' sonly just been almost a week now (7 full days). I am spoiled because I am used to getting published and paid within only a few days! I guess it's been hectic with the holiday season and all, but I was just wondering if I am the only one experiencing this, or is it taking a few extra days lately to get your up-front articles published as well?

But Bethany, your articles are always worth the wait.

I suspect it has to do with the holidays and taking time off for them. They might have just started back working regularly today and will probably have a backlog of articles to go through. I haven't submitted anything since some time before Christmas.

I figured they were busy taking time off with the holidays and such. Thanks for your input. : )

I havent really submitted that many articles lately so I couldnt tell you. However a while back when I was submitting articles it didnt seem to be taking that long. It would take on average about two or three days. I really hope that if this is happening to everyone that they will hire more people to cut down on the waiting time.

2-4 days is pretty darn good for AC. You're lucky if you get that normally! On average, mine are usually 7 days. Although, I did notice during a short streak where I was posting alot of articles, it started getting a little faster, sometimes even only 2-3 days.
We have to remember that AC does not have the gigantic editing staff that we would envision. Therefore, depending on the number of articles being submitted every day, it does take time for them to get to each one.

It might have been because of the holidays. Or maybe they just got busy, overwhelmed. It is a pretty huge site, after all. I just submitted an article two days ago and it got published yesterday. So it was barely ANY waiting time! I was super surprised because I had been hearing stories about it taking weeks. *shrugs*. It's pretty awesome! So far. Hopefully they finally got published and it's back to the normal waiting time again for you, though.

Yes, I am back to my normal 2-3 day waiting period again and it is AWESOME!
Also, most of my payments for up-fronts have increased on average, so I am also happy about that.

I think it is just the holiday schedule. I had selected a Call for Content that was to end just a couple of days before Christmas, and they extended the deadline. To me that meant that they were not going to be around to review the articles submitted. I haven't been submitting anything for payment lately, just page views.
I am sure that everything will be on track soon. It takes a while for everyone to get back in the post-holidays groove.
Good luck with your writing! What sort of topics have you been writing about?

Hello my friend Bethany1202 Ji,
Well, I do not have such worries as I only stick to myLot. But I would say, when nothing can be done, let's not worry. Everything takes it owns time. Who knows, it may be benifited in due course of time. Have patience.
May God bless You and have a great time.
