Hi everyone,
In my house we go fairly often. Everyone I ask tells me they go about once a week. That would be impossible for my household to do. We'd would nearly starve half way through that week. lol
So, how frequently do you make trips the the supermarket?

It varies for me. There are times when I go a week between grocery trips and there are weeks when I go several times in a week. This week is one of those weeks when I don't go very often because it is so cold out and I don't want to bother with it.

Why don't you buy more on your trip to the supermarket? Then you wouldn't have to starve half way through the week. I don't think it's a matter of an impossibility; it seems to me to be more a case of better organisation.
For your information, we usually go once a week. Sometimes, if we find we've forgotten something, or run out of something that we hadn't bought on our main trip, then we have to go other times. Personally, the less times I have to go the better!

I have taken my client households for two weeks at a time, or during the holidays for three weeks worth of menues. Sometimes I do have to get milk or bread for one of them.

We wouldn't really starve...but we wouldn't be able to fix meals the way we like. Like, a few ingredients are missing, stuff like that.

Whenever hubby wants something he does not have, he goes. Me too. We really could live for a month on what we have on hand.

I think my mom will be shopping in the supermart, at least once every 2 weeks?? hehe ^_^
Alot depends on how much food she gets from the wet market as well.. There are times, whereby we get visitors in the house, and she needs to be cooking more.. Thus, she can be shopping in the spuermart and wet market within the same week.. haha =D

My regular schedule to the grocery store is every weekend. I do that to shop for one week grocery needs of my family. However there are times I'd sneak out for a short trip to the grocery when I need some things that are not in my normal lists of groceries, like when I crave for some canned or preserved fruits or if I suddenly felt like cooking special pasta but need additional ingredients for it.

I go at least once a week it is usually on Saturday's for me unless I just don't have the money then I don't go but every time I go I try to buy enough to last for a week or two but it never seems to work! But here lately I haven't been able to go as much due to a loss of my job so I can only get a few things there now as I am limited with money at this point and time. I will go to the dollar stores around here lately they have a big bag of potatoes there now for 99 cents!

Our trips to the grocery store is usually twice a month for big shopping and once a week to get the staples of the house. Such as, milk, bread, eggs, butter, and goodies. I hate going food shopping so for me twice a month is good enough. My daughter will do the once a week shopping with no problem. As for going to the store everyday that would drive me crazy. My grandmother use to do that. She would go to the store to pick up food for dinner. I never understood why not just do a big shopping for the meals you plan on making for a week or two. That is what I do I plan a menu for each day of the week for two weeks. It makes life so much easier.
