I like bigfishgames.com and always play the one hour demo that they offer. Sometimes I like to purchase certain games but I am afraid whether any virus will be there in it as sometimes in the demo version virus is coming. Did you or your family members or friends purchase any online computer game from any game site like bigfishgames, yahoo etc.? How is the game, is it without virus? Was there any problem with it?

hi..
if u try downloading from famous sites ppl from the site take utmost care of not letting a virus into ur computer. It may definitely be costlier but the saftey and the feedback u get from the site is worth the extra money. If u care too much about ur money then u must be ready to risk ur computer for that..
i usually download it from the local lan we have in our campus and the virus threats are too negligible
also keep a track of the lates anti virus available in he market..
have a nice day.. :)

I really feel like buying couple of games from bigfishgames. But the same fear, whether they will send properly, whether it will be good without any defect, whether any virus will be there and many such fears are there for me.

I agree that you should not buy any games online since there is a chance that it might defective. What I recommend instead is that you download games from online companies such as Nexon or some other company. The games that these company makes are quite good plus it gets updated very often with new contents. It is by far better than ordering a CD online just to have it send to you 6 months later defected.

Hi Buchi, I have been playing in the zuma game for quite sometimes. It's games that installed in my computer. Such free games are available online as well. In the beginning I had great interest in playing Dynomite. After playing this game for sometimes I then went in for Bejeweled. Few months back after trying the Zuma Deluxe I then indulge in playing it once I am free.
We can play these online games in popcap site but it's rather simple and easy to score mark for the games available there is rather simple as compared to the one in my laptop. Therefore I still engross in playing it all the time. Of course I don't have to purchase any game online currently. There are some interesting game in FaceBook site but I find not even one can engage my interest to participate in it. may be I'm quite indulgent in Zuma Deluxe. I still couldn't defeat the sixth challenge in stage 12. So I still never accept my friend's invitation to play the game in the said site yet. Might be I will join her after I have got the highest score in ZD later
Happy posting and have a nice day!

To be frankly I haven’t bought, as well as downloaded any games online yet. When I purchased the laptop, the games are already available there. The zuma games in my old desktop were installed by the computer technician when I asked for it. It’s very much cheaper than to purchase from the online site.
You can try to get it from your computer shop. Or if you like, feel free to visit the dot com of popcapgames to have a look there. There are thousand and one of interesting and challenging computer games available there, including different kinds of zuma games. If you are lucky, may be you would get the free download. Take care and Good luck dear.

Hi Buchi!
It shows that there is a child in you and which prompts you to play on-line games.. I have not purchased any on-line games, we make do with demo versions or go for purchase of game CDs/DVDs from the market. As far as danger of virus coming along with on-line stuff is concerned, you may please install a good anti-virus for yoru PC and keep updating the same, this way you can take care of computer virus.
Keep enjoying your games.

You are right dpk, there is a child in me and it is not growing and wants to remain a child for ever. Shall I tell you one more thing? When I go to any shopping mall, my children have to take me to Mc.donald and get me a happy meal. You know for what? They give a doll with that happy meal. I keep those toys for some time and give one by one to my grand daughter when she visits me.

I have been a member for over a year and I really like this site also. So far I have not found a virus either downloading or on their CD. They are protected site and so far I have been lucky. But I also have a very good anti-virus that also helps.

I have downloaded some of the demos on Bigfishgames, but I have never bought any games on that site. When I want to buy the full version of a game I use a site called Iwin. It is similar to Bigfishgames and on Iwin you are also able to download a free trial before you decide if you want to buy the game. I have bought a couple of games on Iwin and I have never had any problems with viruses or things like that. Some of the games on Iwin are pretty expensive, I guess it depends how new or popular the games are. I mostly buy older games, and they aren't that expensive.

I don't buy games online normally. I used to buy games in boxed copies for PC and PSP, where they are quite costly. However I stopped playing PC games and has switched full time to PSP, and I get to buy the games from the Playstation store and they're installed directly onto the machine. I don't have to worry about virus because the games come from Sony. Downloading and installation are hassle free, even you have accidentally deleted the game, what I need to do is to log on to the Playstation store to download it again. Also the online version is many times cheaper than the retail version.

I purchased a couple of games. It was years ago. I had no problems. No viruses, which is always a gamble with anything you do online. For the most part, I stick with the free games that can be played online. Its just not a luxury to buy that anymore.

This is an interesting topic and I am glad you have brought it up. I have bought a game online from the site you mention (after playing it for free for one hour) and never had any problems with my computer, although I have had it "serviced" recently due to the memory being clogged up a bit...but that won't be anything to do with the game, just me being lazy and not storing stuff on discs! The computer expert dowloaded anti-virus software called AVG which is free. I could upgrade if I wanted to but have no money to purchase it at present. Another way of looking at Big Fish Games is; if loads of computers were crashing after purchasing games then I reckon Big Fish would probably be out of business very quickly. The fact they are still going strong should reassure you to purchase a game in future from them. Good luck.

I too am a member at big fish games have never gotten any virus or anything like that & i have been a member for over a year. But on that slight case that a virus could be downloaded, i would suggest on running a virus protection program at all times! the only other games that i play are pogo.com games, and well, they are online games.

When I was downloading free demo version from big fish games, three times avast and AVG alerts flashed on the screen about the virus. In the scanning, it showed that the virus is there in the game. That is why I am afraid. Thanks for your response. I will ask my son to install AVG again.

I have played, downloaded and purchased games from wildtangent.com. When you download the manager, you get a couple of free plays, but the thing is, as long as you don't turn the game off, and are only off it for less than 20 minutes, you get to play as much as you want, even if you finish the game. There are no viruses, and the games are great. They don't just come up with their own games, they get games from everyone and you can download them. Iwin.com is another good game site. There are ones that you only get an hour for, and then there are ones that if you sit through a 20 - 30 second commercial, you get to keep for life. I have never had any problems with any of the games from either of these sites (except for not having a good enough video card)
