-yes ther is. if you are going to check the global warming is getting worse. so sooner or later the earth will going to be so hot. ther are only some country on that time that will have a cold wather. so leader in a rich country will be force to force conquer what ever country that can stil have a nice whater and temparature to let ther peapole expirince stil nice and relax life style. if that will happen thers alsaw a country that will react for the force conquer so it will involve now with several country fighting. and we cannot denny ther will be a country that will manupolate the fighting for the sevral country to push the war so that they can sell weapons.alsaw when this happen due alsaw to the strong hit of the sun the middle east country canoot supply oil since the temperatue is so verry high so her will be then fighting for supply of oil worl wide and it will then soon be 3rd world war.

No,there is no chance of 3rd world war at this situation.If there is war,no nation can dominate in this war.There will be great loss for big and small nations.Now the real war is happening in the form of terrorism.

the two world wars were participated in by global alliances. the cold war was the closest that a third world war could happen; fortunately, it did not. in any world war to come, it will always involve the US. well, today we see the alliances set up by venezuela, bolivia, russia, syria, cuba, iran, north korea, nicaragua and other latin american countries to be against the US policies. this alliance extends to military cooperation. if the US attacks any of these countries, it is possible that other countries will get involved because they are bound to defend the others. i hope it does not happen. i hope america stops being a bully.

America, contrary to much opinion, usually gets involved when one of two things happens - she is asked to help or she is threatened. When our country is asked to help a small country like Taiwan being invaded by China, for some reason the countries believe we will walk in, settle all the problems in a couple of weeks and walk out. And when we are threatened, we are considered a bad country if we stand up for ourselves. We have always been a major player on the world field, but we are by no means the strongest at the moment. We have been stretched too thin and we have sold our souls to China, who now owns over 40% of our debt. They fear us so little now, that when asked to stand up to Iran and provide additional sanctions on their bomb-building, they flatly refused, coming down on the side of Iran. They know that to wreck us at the moment, all they have to do is demand payment of our monetary debt to them. They even scolded our president during his visit about how we continue to increase our debt. There is every chance there will be a Third and, possibly, final World War. I believe it will come from the Middle East, either when Israel is attacked or when a long-range missile is perfected to reach our shores. If that missile is carried to Cuba, it doesn't have too far to go to be launched against us. We are called when a country needs help, but when we make the call for aid, backs are turned and we are told how horrible we are in making war. We are called Ugly Americans until a country needs financial or military assistance. Once we provide it, we go back to being Ugly Americans again. And yet, those who callously chop off heads, hands, and feet for little or no reason, are not Ugly to anyone or so it seems. At worst, we are told it's all our fault they are barbaric in their approach. We are even allowing terrorists to assume all the rights and privileges of citizens and freely hand them attorneys for their day in court. Yes, there will be a Third World War. When it happens, the big missiles will be in play because that's what the new countries are building their bombs for. Those will provide the destruction of the world by fire, as promised in the Bible. Destruction by water the first time; destruction by fire the next.

Hi Prashanth, well, we never know, do we? Second world war started in a small country in Europe, and eventually it ended in Japan! We are linked more now. :) So chances of all the countries being affected are definitely more than what they were earlier. To top it all, we now have biological warfare and nuclear warfare. Nobody wants a third world war, but there is no way we will be able to prevent it. :( May be I wont be alive, may be you wont. But it will definitely come. :( That is because we human beings cannot agree always. We have to fight, it is in our blood, in our genes. :(

Terrorism is nothing but a world war in disguise. The 3rd world war has begun already, and that's terrorism. It will spread like fire all over the world, and America, England, and Russia and India will have no choice but to fight against it. Sooner or later it's going to explode big time, and we will see nothing but only bombing everywhere. The political leaders have no answer to terrorism, as internally there are many governments sponsoring it. The terrorists can't exist without help, and they are receiving help from somewhere. How can we explain the cash flow and arms supplied to them? It's coming through some source, and some channel. If it's traced properly, all the perpetrators can be caught right away. But, they are not following the source, and I don't know why. Nostradamus had predicted about the second gulf war and he also said that will be the beginning of world war 3. And definitely, if Taliban takes over Pakistan, India's security is endangered, and we will face a war. The undergoing circumstances certainly point the indicators towards a mighty world war. Astrological indications are also pointing towards the same in the next two years. We can only expect things to get worse before they can get better.

Possibly and I would expect it to be triggered by a currency crisis which unfortunately is actually quite likely within the next decade.

There is no chance of 3rd world war! The first reason comes to my mind is the nuclear weapon.Can't imagine one nation will start a war to destroy the planet. People can avoid 3rd world war in the 21st century like they have done in the cold war era.

interesting discussion - and you will get attacked posting it in this section. now i am not going to say very much myself because the balance of power in the world is extraordinarily complex. however although it was looking, very disturbingly, for a while that the usa was going to be the only real power in the world i think this is no longer the case. thankfully. the cliche that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely is pretty much true.

in my opinion the very concept of world war may be looked at with a different perspective. every nation seems to be at war with each other and this is a more frightening scenario than the two world wars. today apart from traditional wars we also have trade wars, progress wars and also consumption wars. the war for oil is overtly evident as is the war for market share. in this mad race of consumption we are destroying our environment the consequences of which will be much worse than your perception of third world war.

Hi Prashanth Goud: Ok. You are righ and actually World War II finished in 1945 so this means more than 60 years since the end of the last world war but... I think you are not right, China, Russia, Iran are great powers that are growing their militar power, specially China and Iran and if things go bad for us, a conflict could start in any moment, we can not be anticipated to what would happened in the future, but a conflict between two big countries would start a Thir World War. I don't think America is the only superpower in the world any more. I think China is a second superpower, and a united Europe a third... Whilst few are predicting a 'world war', I don't think the geopolitical situation in the world is at all stable. It is almost certain that there won't be another major conflict on the European continent, and I think it is guaranteed that the next war will be fought in a very different way to WWI and WWII... But there could very well be increased tension due to competition for scarce resources. And I think the chances of a civil war in which on or more superpower "takes sides" is actually fairly high - some time in the next 20 years.

I would have to say no. At least I really hope not!! That would not be something that I think we could survive. We are already so tore down from the depression. I wish the war that we are fighting would stop so the families that have been taken apart can begin to put the pieces back together.

I have never experienced a world war and I hope that I never experience one Personally though it is not impossible to have a third one but I cannot see where the conflict would arise from because unlike back in world war two when Germany was being led by a crazy dictator ,now there isnt any such major country being led by any sich crazy lunatic. In addition any such war would have to involve the USA being the major superpower of teh world and after taking such massive financial losses and fall out of favour with the world ,I doubt that they would be willing to have such a major undertaking again .In additon most countries are wrestling with a recession and know that war is an expensive venture. So as far as I can see there will be no more world war

While I don't see a third world war happening immediately (unless, as many have said here you consider the current terrorism situation to be that) but I do think it will happen eventually. Its hardly realistic to think that there will never be another one. As long as there is greed and selfishness and a desire for power and control over others, there will be war. In other words, as long as there is human nature!

Could happen, if the countries producing nuclear bombs and hold a race to create a nuclear bomb with the finish line without end, and without clear objectives. May the earth safe and peaceful, and inhabited by decent people. We pray, hope does not happen a great battle that could lead to world war III.

It is kinda morbid, you know.. As long as people around the world understand what is the true meaning of life, they will surely make a way to love each and everyone. Lets just pray for world peace. Stop killing brothers to brothers, we have to be interdependent to one another and should not afford a gap.
