Hello guys. Last week end we went to our grandma's farm(father side)It's been years the last time i visited the place so when my uncle invited me to come with them i was thinking twice but still accepted the invitation. When we arrived i was amazed because everything change, the area was developed and the place is no longer boring. Due to excitement i asked them if i can borrow the horse and have a look on the place. So, i jumped over the horse and command him but after a few minutes of riding i fell off the ground while climbing a hill. The one I'm sitting slip off because i use rice sack instead of saddle.I suffer minor injury and terrible body aches. Good thing our horse is not pure breed so he is not that tall. Anyway, have you tried riding a horse? Hows the feeling? Any bad experience with horse?

at the farm - visit to the farm...
Oh, yeah! an ouch on my "A". When i fell off i was too scared that white boy might step on me. If you have plans riding a horse make sure an expert will guide you so that you won't experience what i experienced. And don't walk, stand, or pass by behind the back because you might be kick off. Kalesa? I haven't seen nor experience it. How's the experience? Yes i had a great time. We explore the area, climb up the hill with my cousins, check on the crops and etc. I didn't expect that simple things like that would paint a smile on my face. My experienced thought me something very important, appreciate all what i have. Where? Hmmm... secret. It's one hour ride from the city. hahahhahaha I'll add the image below.

kalesa - A kalesa or calesa (sometimes called a karitela) is a horse-driven calash (carriage) used in the Philippines. The word, also spelled calesa, predates the Spanish conquest and descends ultimately from an Old Church Slavonic word meaning "wheels." This was one of the modes of transportation introduced in the Philippines in the 18th century by the Spaniards that only nobles and high ranked officials could afford.[1] They are rarely used in the streets nowadays except in tourist spots and some rural areas.

haha...yeah, thanks for the reminders! and you too, take care and take precautions the next time you ride a horse!really? you don't experienced yet riding in a kalesa? hehe when you visit fort bonifacio or i think even in luneta, there's a lot of it there and you can ride, and they will tour you in the area...hehe and here in cebu, there's still some place where kalesa is still in use for transpo...how's the experience? fun when its your first time...hehe but for me, i really have fun riding in kalesa...haha hmp! i don't even know which city you live in...or even which province..at first look i think about tagaytay...or batangas... very true!that's really important and will make us happier if we know how to appreciate what we have and sometimes happiness are hiding in those simple things and with those things that we took for granted...look in to your environment and you will see many blessings in your life...

Nope. I'd love too but it's quite expensive. They ask too much if they knew you're a tourist or someone they can fool. I don't know also how to bargain, i just pay without asking any question How much is the kalesa ride? I saw them in DV passing buy. Batangay or tagaytay? nuh-uh. Well, if you're top of the hill it's look like you're in that places. Our place is better than tagaytay or batangas because it's isolated and it's still virgin. There's still owls, different types of birds and other stuff. The river is still clean. Anyway, yes. Those simple things are good experienced to cherish. I was blind to appreciate all those things because i am more focused on those stuff that i don't have.

Wow! u must have a good breed of horses. As far as i know "hot blood" horses used in race is expensive and often who owns it came from a well off family. You must own a huge farm land. Anyway, how long you've been riding a horse? How young are you when you learn riding a horse? Did someone teach you? We own horses but the one used in farm, the "cold bloods" type and it's native.

Hi, i hav neither a farm land nor a horse of my own. Horse riding is completely rare in my locality. Years ago, in 2000, i went for a vacation in simla where my best friend lives. He has a huge farm of horses even he teaches horse riding. He has lots of students of horse riding. Fortunately i became one of his students and in every two weekends he arranged a competition among his students. A local club sponsored all the prizes. I won silver medal that time. Believe me, that was not a huge competition. After that event where i get the chances, i ride horse. So my experiences help me in riding bcoz i was well trained by my friend for a month. But i think i m not too much expert to go for a national level competition. Thanks

hello. Yeah! The feeling is unexplainable. When i was riding and slowly the speed is increasing it scares me but i feel proud that i was able to command the horse though i fell. Well, almost all of us fell. My grand my fell but much worst because she fell on the cows feces.

I've been riding for 20 years, most of the time about 5 times a week, but luckily I haven't fallen off much. I've fallen off the horse I have now once, 3.5 years ago. He got scared by a duck that nearly crashed with us so I fell off, on slow motion. Must have been a really funny sight, but noone was there. With the horse I had before that I fell of twice in two years, at the same weekend and the week before I was supposed to start on my PhD and my back hurted so much I had to start a week later. Once when I was on a riding trip in Austria I got run over by horse. It hit my head but I only got a little headache the next day so I guess I have a very thick skull.

If I were to even get on a horse for a few minutes, I'd probably rediscover places to hurt that I don't hurt already - and I wouldn't even have to fall off to do so! I have fallen off horses, generally the horse has helped... lessee... Sundown 3 times (once the girth broke), Bucky fell on me, Koala dumped me, Goldilocks threw me, Sugarbaby threw me and it seems to me there was another one.... I was pretty lucky that none of them gave me lasting injuries - well the time I fell on my knees... but that was the first fall...

I took horseback riding lessons this past fall. I had a terrific time and hope I can find time and money to take more lessons. Anyway, I did fall off during one of the lessons that I took. We were cantering on a lunge line and the saddle wasn't quite tight enough and it tipped sideways and I fell off. I was a little sore from falling off, but I wasn't injured. I am a skilled faller and managed to land squarely on my butt, which has more cushion than the rest of my body. Keep riding horses. It is so much fun!
