India lost to Sri Lanka in their first match of the year 2010 which is also their first match in the Triangular Series in Bangladesh. India couldn't take wickets at regular intervals so couldn't put Sri Lanka under pressure. And Tilan Samaraveera just took the match away from Indians. Indian bowlers couldn't do much to trouble him. It was a fine display by Srilankan team. Hope India will fight back in the next match. Share your views... Happy Mylotting!

Exactly at that time I was away. I saw Sreeshant bowled a noball and when a free hit allowed then he bowled again a noball and it was hit for a boundary. I think that was the full toss you are talking about.

Dhoni shud have been much quicker in scoring runs today..his strike-rate was 52.85.. Yuvi came at da sme pressure situation of 2 quick wickets. But, his strike-rate was around 88. I donno why dhoni doesnt try for big shots even he is capable of.

Dhoni might have thought that if he tries to hit shots and gets out the situation might get worse. But he should play with more confidence in himself and other batsmen. Hope next time they will do it!

Cricket is a fickle game. Still we all love this sport. Due to its fickleness, we can very safely compare it with life. As nothing is sure in life, so is for cricket. The 11 players, whom we admire so much, are not super-humans. There were times when Sachin, Vishwanathan Anand, Michael Schumacher, Roger Federar, David Beckam all were made to look humans at some point of their career. Though we all agree that cricket is a fickle game, still there have been instances where players from other sports too have lost their matches at important phases in their career. Coming back to cricket, losing a match here or there does surely not mean that a certain team is going downhill. The same has happened with India. India who seemed so unbeatable just a few days ago lost the very first match of the year against the same opponents. They were made to look too ordinary and excuses of all kinds propped up. The due factor seemed to be most appropriate reason to hide behind. However, one thing should be admitted and it is this that Sri Lanka completely outplayed India and take a sweet sweet revenge. This match was important to India, as they could have topped the list of even the ODIs. But that was not to be by winning only one match, though. India needed to win the other matches too. But the beginning of this series was important for India. Now that they have begun on a losing note, even a win in the tri-series will not assure India of top spot. The batsmen did do their job and ultimately the score of 279 was just not enough. And as usual the bowling is still a headache. A lot many things need to be looked into now, especially for captain M S Dhoni and see to it as what went wrong. India plays Bangladesh in the next of their fixtures and need to win the match to keep themselves alive in the series.

The problem is about mindset. Indians don't have the confidence that they can defend a score. Bowlers are not incisive enough. It is not about a single match. In the last series also bowlers struggled a lot. They can't bowl yorkers. Trying to bowl a yorker they give away a full toss delivery! Australians didn't allow Pakistan to score meager 176 runs in the recent test match. That is called the determination and skill. Why Australians pull off such brilliant victories so often? Because, they believe in themselves and think they can do anything. And most importantly they fight every ball. Indians on the other way, give away easy runs. Once a batsman settles down they don't have a clue what to do! If this is the way the play then they don't stay at top for a longer time even if they become number one team. Happy Mylotting!

Yes!! That was terrible. This match was like "India is gone as Sehwag is gone".It was a real bad day for the bowlers.Srilanka got one century holder..I was not so glued to the match today, but it was not at all so interesting.

India is struggling in bowling and fielding. Even Bangladesh almost reached 300 runs. So India have to improve these two areas otherwise if they fail in batting then they won't be having any hope of winning a match.

Indian is struggling with the bowling performance as they are not able to defend any kind of score against the sri lanka earlier in the odi series Sri lanka manage to reach 412 runs in the second innings in INDIA due to poor bowling and fielding efforts of the Indian team

You are right. India needs to improve their bowling and fielding otherwise they can't stand on top for a long time.

Yes, without any of their experienced players they did show a find display to beat Indians.
