I have one shih tsz dog named "Cody" and he gets the same food everyday, which is pedigree dry food for adult dogs. He gets only two treats a day. On special occasions he may get a piece of meat from dinner but that is very rare, because I don't want him to except it all the time.

Yes I guess it could be boring but when you change the food to much that is when they get sick and I don't want to take a chance. I have tried other foods gradually but he didn't take to them. Pedigree was the only one that he really liked.

My four cats eat only a high quality canned cat food that is made especially for them. Commercial cat food has the ingredients that are best for cats. Dry food has extra carbohydrates that cats do not need. If you use a good quality canned food, your cat will not have indigestion. Some foods fit some cats better than others. My cats rarely get people food. One loves any dairy, especially ice cream.

My cats eat wet and dry food and usually I get whatever is on sale as they not totally picky except they will not do the seriously cheap kitty food. The furbabies are so spoiled that they will only tolerate certain brands.
My problem is now I have noticed that went they potty, it is really foul. I have played around with different kitty litters and finally got one that does the trick. But unfortunately is not enough because when they come to me and my husband to sleep in the bed, they fart lol. It is really foul smelling so I had to cut them off wet food until I find one that doesn't mess up their tummies. I figured it out when I took the wet food away. They whine for a while but kept eating the dry stuff.

The cats get cat food. Precious, because he's older, gets a can of wet food a day. Once and a while, George will go next door and get some turkey for him to eat. We rarely feed him human food, but turkey tends to act like a natural tranqulizer to help calm him in difficult situations. It provides a good a distraction if I have to do something he doesn't like.

We have six cats (3 grown, 3 kittens). They eat dry cat food, whatever's on sale usually. The older cats get spoiled with a little bit of milk occasionally, the kittens like lunch meat when we're fixing sandwiches for lunch. They love roast beef and turkey the best, then ham. They don't much care for bologna, but they will eat it eventually. They would love to eat what we eat, but it's not very good for their digestion. When their tummies are upset, they tend to miss the litter box: yucky!
