There is so much hype about it but I usually stay away from very new technology and especially new operating systems for the first year. There are always gliches that need to be worked out in the beginning and I don't have the patience for that. I'm still using Win XP and love it but might be getting a new pc soon and don't know if I should go for one with Win 7 or stick with what I'm used to.
Anyone using Win 7 yet? Tell us about your experience with it.

Windows 7 rocks. I am using it since the day it was launched as beta. There is absolutely no problem. I even use it with my Netbook which has just 1GB ram.

You can rest assure about windows 7. All there glitches and problems are sorted and it is a nice program to use. It is great and fast when using the internet and believe me i am just as scared of new technology as you are, but this was the best thing i ever bought.

I have installed windows 7 on my computer along with windows xp i.e dual boot. I have installed windows 7 as a trial for 30 days. Windows 7 has some improvements over the earlier operating system vista. But as a user I do not notice much difference between vista and 7. But overall I liked windows 7 and may consider to purchase it in future.

I never did get into Vista and what little experience I had with it I thought it was ok. I think I'm just used to Win XP and it's hard for me to change.

I haven't tried the windows 7 yet. I have heard great things about it though. Ever since the whole Vista thing I am not in any hurry to do so. I'll wait patiently. If I'm behind on technology then so be it. I rather be a little behind then to spend hundreds again on an upgrade and repairs ever again.

I ask the question because it is so new and I don't know many people using it. I like to hear what people who are using think of it.

Hi, I have been using windows 7 since the past two months.I bought a new laptop which came with windows 7, and I find this far farbetter than the older version I was used to. It is very fast and there are lots of features too. I am not net savvy, but for those who are, I am sure it is a boon...I am much more comfortable using this than our old computer, which seems quite tedious now - all the best and have a great evening

Dont try to stay away... It AWESOME!!! I am a MacBook Pro user running windows 7 ultimate x64 bit as my main and only os! NO MORE MAC OS X... Even though its awesome. Dont get me wrong I LOVE APPLE! but really... windows 7 is a mac os x KILER for sure... so until the next version of mac os x i will continue to use windows 7 ultimate as my primary and only os. If anyone is wondering how i did it... just delete the mac partition after formating it then pop in the windows 7 disk and install it, once its installed, just run the Boot Camp drivers, restart and the DONE!

No, I am not using it yet, but I hope to get a new laptop one of these days. I am using Vista right now, and it is okay, but from what my daughter says who just bought a Windows 7 computer, is a good OS, better than Vista. I am a lttle leery of new OS too, as mos tof the time there are bugs in it that have to be worked out, and I am glad to hear to hear that Windows 7 is really good. It makes more enthused to want to bu a new laptop sometime this year. I will probably wait awhile though as I really don't want to have to get one now, as long as my Vista laptop still owrks. Yesterday though, I got worried when I got a blue screen and I thought my motherboard was dieing, but the computer just overheated, and it did that for safety reasons. I bought a new chill mat, and now it is cool again. I am glad too, as computers can be expensive depending on what you get. Take care, and happy mylotting.

I have been using windows 7 since it first came out. it is a brilliant operating system runs really fast and efficient. It makes it so much easier to maintain your computer and keep it running smoothly. I love using new technology I find it very interesting and love a challenge.
