What is your favourite thing to take pictures of?

And is the same as the thing you take the best pictures of? I love taking pictures of dramatic landscapes, but sadly, they normally not always turn out quite dramatic enough. I'm much better at taking pictures of cute, fluffy animals and children. I like that too, but one day I want to be able to take really dramatic pictures of landscapes. I'm also quite good at taking pictures of horses, I've taken lots of pictures at competitions (dressage and show jumping). I think that's more technique though, whereas the dramatic landscapes is more art. Not only art, it's also technique (right exposure etc) and hopefully lots of practicing.

I like taking pictures of mostly everything that catches my attention. Be it from small insects to a very good scenery. Among such things that I like to take pictures of, I also like to take random shots of people. 'Stolen moments' as they would sometimes call it since, that emotions are very raw and real. Its not those kinds of pictures wherein the people in the photo are very conscious so they would try to put their best faces infront of the camera.

Heheh.. that's good. In my case, I only have a digital camera so, after taking those stolen moments, they'd notice that I did take a photo of them so, they'd ask to see what I got and then they'd decide if I can keep them or tell me to delete such photos.. Of course, if I agree, I'd delete those images but, if there is something interesting about the shot, I wouldn't really get rid of it. (^_^ )

The good thing with the telezoom is that you can check them yourself before they catch up with you, and then if you want to use some of them as a surprise (good or bad) you can choose not to show them to anyone. I often do that, the nice ones I use for presents and the bad/funny ones I put on facebook (if they're really weird, I set album security so that not everyone can see them)

Oh yeah, most people look better when they're not putting on their best faces :-) I have quite good telezoom, so outdoors I can take pictures of my friends without them noticing.

My favorite subjects are my grandchildren. Unfortunately, my photos of them are rarely as good as the ones in my scrapbooking magazines. However, I think that my best photos are of everyday landscape ones. For example, I recently moved to a city and took photos of the apartment building and nearest street sign indicating that it's a historic section of downtown. I sent these to my out-of-town friends and they thought the photos were postcards. (However, my photography isn't consistent. Atone time I lived in the Appalachians and had no luck selling my photos to companies that make postcards. Now I simply do photography for fun and I must say that I'm not as careful about trying to make my photos really good as I did when I was making them for newspaper and magazine articles.)

Some of my friends really like to have their photo taken, but they never look normal when I do. So I have 100s of photos of people doing strange things.

I've currently on my fourth SLR, I've had two with film and two digital ones. I've bought the last 3 used, and they've been really good. I bought them at the marketplace at a photography website, and they weren't used much and in general good condition.

I actually like to take pictures of the food that I cook. I know it sounds wierd but I am proud of the food I make and I like to share my recipes on line, so I take the pictures so people can see what the food will look like when it is done. I also like taking pictures of trees and creeks, I think they are so pretty and they always look nice in pictures even if someone like me takes the picture.

I don't think it sounds weird, but I've tried, and I think it was quite difficult! I found it hard to make the food still look apetizing when I took pictures, so I'm impressed by anyone who can do it. I have only managed to take decent picturs of cakes and cookies.

Everything! I love to take pictures of virtually everything. I think though, I really like to capture nature. I need a better camera but I still enjoy taking pictures. I use most of my nature shots as backgrounds for my screen. It' so nice to open up windows and see my own shots!

I went to Iceland for 5 weeks with a quite lousy compact, when I came home I bought an SLR at once so that I would get better shots next time :-)
