Do you know what‘s the function of the great wall in ancient china?

The Great Wall of China is one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. Built between the 5th century BC and the 16th century. Its main purpose is to protect the Chinese from invaders coming from the north, like the Mongolians and the Manchurians. The popular belief that the Great Wall is the only man-made object that can be seen in space is not quite true. One cannot see the Great wall without the use of an aid such as telescope or binoculars from space.

I haven't really read your history but I guess it is for protection against enemies invasion.

from my meager knowledge of chinese history, the great wall was created by the chin dyansty to prevent the invading huns from invading china. cheers!!!
