'Oh! There is no power supply in my home today', ' My pocked was picked on my way today. It was terrible' 'I woke up this morning and was shocked to see my computer now working' ... etc. I feel these kind of threads should not be allowed on this forum. Only discussions which seeks suggestions, exchange of views, ideas, knowledge etc. have to be published. Surprising such discussions are getting many responses. What do you feel Mylotters?

The definitions of "silly" varies from one person to another. There are lots of them if I would interpret the way you define "silly discussions" here in myLot. I think people can relate more to these "silly discussions" rather than the more serious ones. Its because the person starting the "silly discussions" really speaks for his/her recent experienced and let everybody knows what what happening to him/her right now. For me, there is no such thing as "silly" discussions here in myLot, but rather more "stupid and inappropriate discussions" that doesn't belong here. And I'm guilty of doing one or two over my stay here in myLot.

Thank you for your comments. I think you are right, it would be appropriate to user the word 'stupid' rather than 'silly'. But I still feel that such discussions are absurd. Of course, sometimes one may be willing to respond to such a thread occassionally. I think we have to come out of such things and raise the level of this forum to make it more meaningful and valid.

Hi, suprad1. I like these kind of discussions. They are not so silly to me. I enjoy listening to others talk about new things that is happening to them. I see nothing wrong with these kind of discussions.

sometimes we need it to see other problems. maybe it is sound silly for you, but maybe no for those who feel that way. sometimes as a human we just need someone attraction to fill our live. being sympathize is not silly. It could make us thankful too to what we had if we just see another person problems.

NO, I don't. I think I have nothing to say in such a discussion. The only thing I can say is: :" I'm sorry" or such a thing, but those discussions are not in my interests!

Occasionally, yes I do respond to those kinds of discussions. I will normally read them, and will respond if there is some question or if they are seeking advice or personal experiences. Otherwise, I tend to just read and move on. I do feel that the discussions you post should have something to do with asking a question, wanting to share experiences, or wanting advice. But I understand the need to occasionally just rant to someone to know that someone else understands what you're going through.

I do not respond to these questions but I try to read it first if it leads to something sensible. These discussions kinda annoys and confuses me same as how the responses are calculated to be worth, because some responses are really insensible and rubbish while I try to make good of mine and it's not worth much.
