Have you ever been attacked by a dog and what did you do in response?

Months ago, i was walking just outside our house. Our neighbor has this annoying dog that always chases after our car. I've walked by their house many times before, and I am usually left alone, but this time, they had another black dog hiding under their car. When I passed by their car, the black dog comes out barking, and then this other skinny little dog comes barking as well. But then, the first dog, the one that always chases our car comes after me and I really think he was going to attack me unlike the two other dogs who were just barking. It was a good thing I had an open umbrella as I was able to fend off the stupid dog off. I was walking away but did not have my back totally turned as he might snap at my heel. Whenever he moved closer, i swiped him with my umbrella. I was really scared, and I don't know if our neighbor was there. Their gate was open, but nobody came out to call off the dogs. I am so mad at that dog, and every time he comes out to chase after our car, my blood boils. One of these days, I will get my revenge LOL!

there is one technique to avoid the dog atack if u follow that technique..u will never get attack from dogs..

oh i wont forget that experience when i was beaten by a dog. i was 6 years old then and the dog was even taller than me! I didnt notice the dog coz i was running towards my sister when out of nowhere the dog jumped and grabbed me bitting on my waist. A guy behind me immediately grabbed my shirt and pull me up and almost kick the dog coz it just wont stop. the chinese owner of the dog was so sorry but only wiped my wound with garlic as a first aid. good thing the dog had shots of anti rabies.

yeah i have been a few times, but the last time was a friend's dog. this dumb dog was like a good 1000 yard from me, never barked or growl. it dint bark or growl until it leaped at me going for my thoat. the first thing i did was throw my arm up to keep it from going after my thoat then i shook it off my arm and then he went for my leg and i kicked it. then it got my arm again and i grabbed him by the collar and threw him to the ground well he was shaking with my arm in his mouth but this time my friend and her daughter grabbed him and ran into the house. but my jacket which was three size to big on me took the worst of it.

Hello wildlittlefan me too have gone from such an horrible experience in my life, as noramally me and pet, stray dogs are friends and they do no harm to me atleast.But this one an neighbours dog, with an sickness in mind, had me once bitten for no reason, was just warming him in the morning and he suddenly got an bite of my hand.I was too angry over it, and thought of hitting him back.But later realised the the bite had taken some blood out of my hand, so went ahead and applies some fresh green leaves on it.After getting home took my bath and went straight to the medical center to have some immune against its bite, and had some injections for it.Wow what an experience i had, will never forget that sick minded evil dog of the neighbour, and ht enext time it will be me who gives him an knock out punch on his fluppy face.Am really crazy about that dog, as there was no reason for it, Happy mylotting.

Yeah, the best way is to prepare for the confrontation if you are not such a good athlete. In my case, i just took the shirt i was carrying and covered its head into it, it worked though got some bruises

I was a teenager at the time. I was cycling past a path that had a few houses along it. Two German Shepherd dogs came over to me and knocked me off my bike. They tried to bite me. I screamed and the a lady came and go the dogs inside her house. She said sorry to me. I love dogs. I have two miniature poodles. I know most German Shepherd dogs act like guard dogs. They are large and have sharp teeth. My dog, Secret, hates the postman. I keep my dogs under control. My dog Magic likes to bark. Secret likes to bark and chase.

I have not been attacked, but my little dog was ambushed by a German Shepherd and a Husky. I slapped them and threw myself over my boy and stayed there until help came. I saved Patches' life and didnt get a scratch. I had known the two other dogs for a long time and pet them often so they wouldn't hurt me. I was a little sad that they were put to sleep but they were in my yard and this wasn't a first offense for either of them. They were the 4th and 5th dog to be put down for this guy and his son. I wish they could be stopped from getting another dog - they dont have the responsibility to care and love for them like they need and deserve.

No I have not been attacked by a dog ever. I am not sure what I would do except to try and get the dog off of me and away from the dog. I would pick up anything I could to get the dog to stop biting or attacking me.

I never been attacked by a dog in my entire life. But, I hope never in the future. I have a close friend before who was attacked by a dog. It was frightening. I saw my friend how she cried so loud with her arms bitten by a dog. It was very traumatic for her. Until now, she carry that phobia in herself and whenever she sees dog. She said nasty words about them because of what had happened to her. But, I cannot blame her because her skin has many marks which is an additional lack of confidence for her.

well,i remember that i was a kid at that moment .i am at a loss how to get the good mark ,as my family ask me to do so.and then suddly ,a big wolfdog behind me ,i was just scared,no help to shounting out .but thanks god ,that dog didn't really attacked me .i am lucky .
