What was your impression of facebook?

I am a member of facebook.com but probably for just two or three months. I know facebook for almost a year now but i was not attracted to be a member before. Not until i always receive invitations from people i dont know. So when i tried to be a member i dont take it seriously just for the fan of it, i responded to an invitation. And gradually day after day , links to my page began to pour in which started by my sons , daughter , relatives , friends and neighborhood. Now that i am member and had seen majority of my clan, i am still confused with facebook. All i see on my news feeds are updates which i not interested which i think because of different ages linking on my facebook. Membership is very fast even if your not inviting. At this stage i would say its a good social networking site where you could link with anybody, telling them something , giving them something, putting your pictures, videos, images, stories and many more. I had seen that online marketeers are using facebook for their online business because of the million members. But i have not tried it yet, i think i still to study and try to be active with facebook. Maybe you could share your impressions.
