we are all bound to commit mistakes and having mistakes make us human. i know that everyone of us already committed a mistakes and we are guilty beyond our errors. i wonder why we hard to forget were in fact we also commit mistakes how much more in forgetting.

I guess this is all about pride, we tend to hold on to ourselves the hurt feelings that others had done unto us that is why we cannot forgive or forget them. The best thing to do is to let it go and this is the only way that you will be forgiven also for the Law of God is very basic " Do unto others what would you want others to do unto you".

Yes,it's true that sometimes it gets really difficult to just 'forget and forgive' an incident which has hurt us a lot once. May be with time you learn to forgive but to forget something is not easy at all, because sometimes some incidents, some words from a person shatters us,changes the direction of our lives and its not easy to forget them. But if a person is really repenting his actions then we should forgive him as the person who commits the mistake and has realized it afterwards suffers more than the person he has hurt!

yes we all commit mistake .it is as difficult to forgive others as to own up our mistakes.but we can always try to develop both of these qualities which is very much possible if we give it a try

Hi ralphbrain, I am lucky that I am the one who is easy to forgive. However, it is not easy to forget. The issue will be still there in my mind but I will not angry with that someone anymore. I like thinking for others, I try to understand why people making mistakes. If we can think from others' angle, we will not be that angry about those subjects on a particular issue. Conversely, it is not easy for me to forgive myself when I have made a mistake. I am quite strict to myself rather than others. I hate making mistakes, so I try in every method to avoid it. I always try to avoid saying "sorry", as from my point of view, only irresponsible person like saying "sorry" but without improving their way(s) of doing things. As a result, I believe, lesser mistakes then lesser sorries!!! Have a nice day! Happy New Year to you! agonyaunt69 (1:46am 7 Jan 2010, Hong Kong time)
